Vels University (VU), Chennai Admission
VELS University admission is both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts its own VELS Entrance Exam (VEE) for admission to most UG and PG programs. However, for admission to the MBA program, the university also accepts national-level entrance exam scores such as CAT, MAT, and XAT.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to VELS University vary depending on the program.
The general eligibility criteria for UG programs are:
- Pass in Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
- Minimum 50% marks in English
- Minimum 50% marks in Mathematics (for engineering and science programs)
The general eligibility criteria for PG programs are:
- Pass in a UG degree in a relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Minimum 50% marks in English.
Admission Process
- To apply for admission to VELS University, candidates must visit the university’s official website and fill out the online application form.
- Once the application form is submitted, candidates must pay the application fee and upload all the required documents.
- After the application process is complete, candidates will be shortlisted for the VEE exam. The VEE exam is conducted in both online and offline modes. The exam consists of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
- Based on the VEE exam scores and merit, VELS University will release a list of shortlisted candidates for admission. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a counselling session and pay the admission fee.
