Rajasthan Technical University, Kota (RTU) is a public university which is located in the Kota district of Rajasthan. The University was established in the year 2006 by the Rajasthan Government to intensify the technical education in the state. Earlier, the technical affairs of the colleges in Rajasthan were managed by the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. RTU Kota is chaired by the active Governor of Rajasthan, and the Governor appoints the Vice-chancellor of the University. There are around 190 colleges affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical Univesity.
