Anna University courses include full-time undergraduate programs in various disciplines, including BE/B.Tech and B.Arch. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 level examination or its equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects.

The selection process for BE/B.Tech admission involves shortlisting candidates based on their performance in the 10+2 examination, followed by participation in the TNEA counseling process. As for the B.Arch. program, NATA score is a must.

• Eligibility: To be eligible for Anna University undergraduate courses, candidates must have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their 10+2 level exam or an equivalent qualification. They must have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects.
• Selection Criteria: Selection for B.E/B.Tech programs are based on TNEA scores, while for B.Arch programs, it relies on NATA scores.
• Application Process: Applicants can complete the application forms for B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch courses online by visiting the official TNEA portal. Afterward, they need to undergo document verification at the TNEA Facilitation Centers (TFCs). Students can select their preferred institutions and programs after paying an initial deposit, usually INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST/PH candidates and INR 100 for special reservation categories), through various payment methods. The final seat allotment is determined solely by the admission authority.

• Eligibility: To be eligible for PG admission at Anna University, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university/institute. BE/B.Tech degree in the relevant field is the minimum eligibility criterion. Diploma holders and AMIE graduates are also eligible to apply for some programs. For MBA courses, candidates with a valid GATE score can apply and are exempt from TANCET.
• Selection Criteria: Admission to ME, M.Tech, M.Plan, and M.Arch programs is based on the Common Engineering Entrance Test for Admission (CEETA PG). MBA and MCA program admissions require candidates to appear for the TANCET exam. M.Sc admissions are granted based on a written test conducted by the university.
• Application Process: Eligible candidates can apply for PG programs by appearing for the required entrance exam, whether it’s CEETA PG for engineering programs, TANCET for MBA and MCA, or the university’s written test for M.Sc. Admissions will be determined through university-based counseling for TANCET-qualified candidates. GATE-qualified candidates are exempt from TANCET for MBA courses.
• For M.Arch, M.Plan, MBA, MCA, and M.Sc programs, applicants need a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) and must participate in the university-based counseling (TANCA) after qualifying the required entrance exam.

Anna University B.E/B.Tech Admission: Eligibility 

Eligibility criteria for the B.E./B.Tech. (Part-Time) Degree Program:

1. Qualification: Must have passed a relevant Engineering/Technology Diploma examination from a recognized authority, such as the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent recognized by Anna University.
2. Year of Diploma: Should have passed the diploma examination in the relevant field at least two years before the application deadline.
3. Work Location: Must be employed within a 90 km radius of the college where admission is sought, and the workplace should be in Tamil Nadu.
4. Age: No age limit for admission to the B.E./B.Tech. (Part-Time) Degree Program.
5. Employment: Candidates must be currently employed professionals. At the time of application, they should have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a relevant field after obtaining their diploma, working in a registered firm, company, industry, educational institution, government agency, or autonomous organization.
6. Mode of Diploma Study: Eligible modes for the diploma are full-time, lateral entry, or part-time. Distance education diplomas are not considered.
