NEET PG 2024 Latest News: In a recent controversy surrounding the NEET PG Exam, the exam was postponed just 12 hours before the exam was supposed to be held. The NEET PG exam was scheduled for June 23, 2024, but NBE announced the postponement just 12 hours before the exam. Aspirants who had travelled from almost over India criticized the National Testing Agency (NTA) and questioned the integrity of the Medical Authorities as well.
In the most recent update and statement by the NBE President - Abhijat Sheth, the new NEET PG Exam Date should be announced in the upcoming week. The decision comes after a review meeting held between NBEMS and the Union Health Ministry to assess the situation and the feedback received by the Government.

NEET PG Postponement: The major reason the NEET PG Exam was postponed was due the irregularities spotted in the very recent NEET-UG Controversy alongside the paper leak of the NEET-UG Exam. The aspirants are outraged with the NEET-UG Result and the NEET-PG Postponement. However, in defense, the NTA, NBE, and other related Medical Officials have promised to take strict actions and also enhance the system to protect the integrity of the exam.
The NEET-PG Exam has been successfully conducted without any issues for over 7 years, but the integrity was compromised due to the recent unfortunate series of events like the NEET-UG Paper Leak and Result Controversy, UGC-NET Cancellation after the exam was conducted successfully, and now the NEET-PG Postponement.
NEET PG Exam Pattern
The NEET PG Exam consists of 200 MCQ-type questions, and the candidates must choose 1 correct option out of the 4 choices. The exam is conducted for a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Each correct answer fetches 4 marks, and every incorrect answer will fetch a negative mark of 1 point. No marks are awarded for any unattempted questions.
NEET PG Exam Date & Schedule
The new and revised schedule for the NEET PG Examination is yet to be announced by the officials and the complete information will soon be updated on the NTA website. Meanwhile, candidates must keep a regular check on the website for any latest updates regarding the NEET-PG Exam. The exam was earlier scheduled for 23 June 2024, but due to the postponement, the new date will now be announced in the upcoming week.
The officials have also requested the government to take swift action so that the counselling and admission process begins in time and does not cause more inconvenience to the upcoming doctors and the current aspirants.
