Eligibility and Selection Process for IBPS PO 2024
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the eligibility criteria and selection process for the IBPS PO 2024 recruitment.
Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality: Applicant should be Indian citizen or subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962. The candidates who have originated from India but have migrated from some specific countries for permanent settlement in India are also eligible.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a graduation degree in any field from any university recognized by the university.
Age Limit: The candidates must be within the age of 20 to 30 years. Age relaxation applies 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PWD candidates, among others.
Selection Process:
Preliminary Examination: This is an objective type test that contains questions on English Language, Arithmetic Ability, and Logical Ability. Clearing sectional and overall cut-off marks is mandatory to get through the main examination.
Main Examination: The main examination includes objective type in Reasoning & Computer Awareness, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation, and descriptive paper in English (Letter Writing & Essay).
Interview: Candidates who appeared in the main examination will be called for an interview which will be of 100 marks. The passing marks are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Final Selection: The final merit list is based on the combined scores of the main exam and interview in an 80:20 ratio. Applicants who pass the test will be given provisional allotment.
