BA LLB Eligibility

BA LLB Admission 2022
Typically, BA LLB admission is based on the score achieved by the students in the national level, state level, and/or university level law entrance exams. One of the most popular entrance exams for BA LLB admissions is CLAT or Common Law Admission Test. However, there are other ways to get admissions into BA LLB course programs.

Law entrance exams are of three different types, namely national level, state-level, and university level. While some colleges accept national level entrance exam score like CLAT, AILET, and LSAT India, other colleges may prefer state-level entrance exams like AP LAWCET, PU LLB, etc. There may be other colleges accepting on university-level entrance exams score such as DU LLB, SLAT, etc.
Students must choose the entrance exams as per their college preference and choices. It must be noted that CLAT, LSAT, and AILET are the most popular entrance exams for law admissions. Most of these entrance exams consists of multiple-choice questions and tests students on the legal knowledge, logical reasoning, etc.
BA LLB Admission based on Merit
There are several colleges that offers admissions to BA LLB program based on the merit-score. These law schools consider the marks obtained by the students in 10+2 from a recognized board and shortlist candidates based on the score. As per the score, the merit list is prepared with the priority admissions given to students with high aggregate score in Class 12. Thus, in this case, students must focus on achieving maximum marks at the 10+2 level.
BA LLB Direct Admission
In case of colleges where seats are available, direct BA LLB admission are given to students. The admission criteria here is based on first come, first served basis until the seats are filled. Certain colleges may put up additional rounds like group discussions, written ability test, or interview to keep the admission fair. For such colleges, students must clear all rounds to get admissions into BA LLB course.
