UPTET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must apply after reading the eligibility criteria to appear in the UPTET 2022 Papers I and II. Here are some general guidelines:
Eligibility for UPTET Paper-I (Primary-Level Teachers): To be eligible for UPTET Paper-I, applicants must meet any one of the following criteria.
- Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognized university or institute. However, after graduation, pursuing a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) is required. Candidates in their final year of DElEd may also apply.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation and then pass the Basic Training Certificate (BTC) for distance education. Candidates in their final year may also apply.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation or post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. In addition, candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor of Education (BEd).
-Candidates must have completed their undergraduate or postgraduate studies with a minimum of 45 percent marks. Candidates should also have a bachelor's degree in education.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation as well as BTC in Urdu. Candidates in their final year may also apply.
- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and a teaching diploma from Aligarh Muslim University.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation and received their Moavill-E-Urdu degree before August 8, 1997.
- Candidates must have completed their class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates must also complete the four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education program (BElEd).
UPTET Paper-II Eligibility (Upper Primary-Level Teachers): To gain UPTET eligibility for Paper II, applicants must meet any one of the following criteria.
- Candidates must have graduated from a recognized college or university. In addition, candidates must complete a two-year DElEd program (BTC).
- Candidates must have completed their graduation or post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates must also have a BEd/BEd Special Education degree. Candidates in their final year of BEd/BEd Special Education may also apply.
Candidates must have completed their class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates must also have a four-year BScEd/BSc BEd degree from a UGC/National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recognized institution. Candidates in their final year of a BScEd/ BSc BEd degree program are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have completed their class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates must also complete a four-year BElEd program. Candidates in their final year of BElEd may also apply.
- Candidates must have a graduation grade point average of at least 50%. In addition, candidates must complete a one-year BEd program. Candidates in their final year of a bachelor's degree in education are also eligible to apply.
