The state government of Rajasthan scrapped the Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET) for the admission in engineering colleges for 2015-16The government has constituted a 'Centralised Admission Committee (CAC)' to oversee the admissions during session 2015-16. 70% of the RPET seats would be available for the students from Rajasthan.50% will be filled through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) merit list. The remaining 50% will be based on the class XII merit list.Apart from this, 15% seats would be allotted under the management quota, while the remaining 15% will be reserved for the candidates from outside Rajasthan.
RPET Eligibility
Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam from any recognized board with a minimum of 45% in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC)
RPET Exam Pattern
The duration of the RPET 2015 exam will be three hours
The RPET 2015 Exam Paper will consist of questions in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The total number of questions asked will be 120 with 40 questions from each subject.
Medium of language will be English and Hindi.
Each correct answer will be awarded one mark each
There is no negative marking for RPET 2015.
In case of a difference in questions in the Hindi and the Engliah versions, the English version will be treated as valid.
