OJEE Exam pattern is as follows:
- Multiple Choice questions are asked in the examination and 60 questions per hour. There is negative marking in OJEE.
- For each correct answers you will be rewarded with four marks and for one incorrect answer one mark will be deducted. Though, mark sheet for the OJEE is not issued however candidates if doubtful of the result can ask for verification for which JEE office charges Rs.500/-.
- Demand draft drawn in the name of ''JEE-2022'' in favor of any nationalized bank at Bhubaneswar.
- Application for verification of marks should be done within seven days of the publication of OJEE result.
- Candidates who wish to know the subject wise score of examination have to make a written request along with a demand draft of Rs.200/- in favor of ''JEE-2022'' drawn on any Nationalized Bank at Bhubaneswar.
- The application should reach the JEE office within 10 days of the publication of OJEE result. Candidates who do not receive the Orissa JEE entrance rank card or have lost the rank card can get a duplicate rank card from the counselling venue on the day of his or her counselling on payment of Rs.200/- in the form of Bank draft in favour of "OJEE-2022" drawn on any nationalised bank payable at Bhubaneswar.

The exam would be conducted in three different shifts and the allotment of shifts would depend on the type of courses adopted by the candidate. The exam would be conducted in English only. IT is necessary for the candidates to refer to the pattern to form a detailed strategy for scoring. The total number of questions depend on the courses adopted by the candidate.
A candidate would be required to appear in two exam slots of OJEE 2022, depending on the courses. The exams are divided into 1 hour and 2 hour sessions. All the questions are MCQ based, carry 4 marks for correct answer and -1 for every negative answer.
Shift 1: OJEE 2022 is scheduled in offline mode. The duration of the various courses in Shift is 2 hours. There are 120 objective type questions in OJEE 2022. candidates who have applied for B.Pharma/BHMS/BAMS appear for Physics and Chemistry in Shift 1. The exam for MBA and LE Diploma courses in conducted in Shift 1.
Shift 2: About 60 multiple choice questions exist in Shift 2 of OJEE 2022. Candidates have to solve the questions in 1 hour. OJEE Exam for LE B.pharma, LE B.sc, Integrated MBA, M.pharma, M.Plan is conducted in this shift. Mathematics section for B.Pharma/BAMS/BHMS programs and for LE courses is tested in Shift 2.
Shift 3: Shift 3 has 2 slots : Slot 1 (duration 1 hour) and Slot 2(duration 2 hours). The timing of slot is from 2.30- 3.30 p.m. Slot 2 timings are from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.The Shift in OJEE 2022 includes 60-120 objective type questions in English Language Slot 2 whereas there are 60 MCQ s in Slot 1. Biology section of B.Pharma/BAMS/BHMS programs is tested in slot of Shift 3.
