XLRI Jamshedpur has released the XAT Exam Date through an official notice on its official website. XAT 2023 will be conducted on 8 January 2023. As per the previous trend of XAT Exam, the examination conducting authority has been holding the exam on the first Sunday of January but the first Sunday of the year 2023 is on 1st January i.e. New Year's day, hence the exam is scheduled to be conducted on the following Sunday i.e. 8 January. XAT Registration will begin from 10 August 2022 and students willing to apply for the exam can register themselves on the official website by filling the application form.
- Students must note that the XAT Exam Date have been confirmed by the authorities. The exact XAT Exam Date of the exam is 8 January as per the announcement made by XLRI Jamshedpur recently. Students interested in taking the exam can fill the XAT Application Form on the official website i.e. https://xatonline.in/ from 10 August 2022.

What is XAT Exam?
The Xavier Aptitude Test prominently known as XAT is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur on account of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT is conducted every year to select potential students for management programs offered by top business schools, associated with the institution as part of XAMI. Apart from XAMI, 160 other MBA Colleges also will accept XAT Score for shortlisting students in their various PGDM 2023-25 management programs. XLRI Jamshedpur has been conducting the exam for more than 70 years now. Last year the pattern of the entrance exam was changed from offline pen-paper mode to computer-based online mode.
The registration process can be completed and the application form of XAT 2023 can be filled online on the official website of XAT from 10 August 2022. Candidates willing to take the exam must also make the registration fee of INR 1800 via any online payment gateway. The last date to apply for XLRI XAT Exam 2023 is expected to be 30 November 2022.

XLRI Jamshedpur has released XAT Exam 2023 notification on its official website. This notification consists of XAT Exam Date 2023 and other XAT Exam Dates such as registration start, registration end, admit card release, etc.
As per XAT Previous Year Question Paper by XLRI Jamshedpur, XAT Exam Pattern underwent a few changes again. The exam to be conducted on 2nd Jan will have 101 questions instead of 100 questions as the last year's question paper. XAT Essay Writing is again a part of XAT Question Paper after 3 years. Despite COVID-19 situation across the country, XLRI conducted XAT 2022 as a center-based test across 72 cities in the country.
Changes Introduced in XAT Exam 2023
There are a few changes that XLRI Jamshedpur has brought in XAT 2023 Exam. These changes are mentioned below:
- XAT 2023 Application Fee has now been increased to INR 1800 to INR 1750.
- Total No. of questions in the paper has been changed to 101 from 100.
- Test timing will be from 9:30 AM to 12:40 PM.
- Total number of questions increased from 100 to 101.
- Essay Writing Test has been reintroduced. (It was scrapped in 2019) (Not taken into account for percentile calculation)
- XAT 2023 will have 100 MCQ Type questions and 1 Descriptive question.
- Scribes of Candidates with visual impairment will be given extra 25 minutes to solve Part 1 of the exam.
- All the questions are of MCQ type.
- General Knowledge and Essay Writing Section n Part 2 will have no negative marking.
- Essay shall be considered and evaluated after the candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview round.
- Candidates will be rewarded with 1 mark for each correct answer.
- 25% of the total mark of a question will be deducted as penalty if answered wrongly.
- After every 8 unattempted questions, 0.10 marks will be deducted as penalty for every unattempted question.
- Candidates with visually impaired conditions will be provided additional 25 minutes to solve part 1 of the question paper.
- All the questions will contain 5 options with one correct answer.

XAT Registration for XAT 2023 will start from 10 August 2023 and the conducting authorities will make the XAT Application Form available online on the official website. XAT Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the exam is generally defined by the examination conducting authority i.e. Xavier School of Management (XLRI) and students must ensure that they fulfill the requirements of this set of requirements formed by XLRI.

- Applying candidates must possess a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years of duration.
- There is no age bar for XAT 2023.
- Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply for XAT 2023.

Besides no age limit filter, XAT 2023 requires no minimum qualifying marks in graduation in order to be eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates in final year must complete their graduation by June 2023.

XAT Exam Pattern
As per XAT 2023 Exam Pattern , the XAT question paper is divided into two parts i.e. Part 1 and Part 2 depending on the type of questions, one is objective type and the other one is subjective type. The examination pattern can also be divided into moderate and difficult depending upon the difficulty level of the examination.
- The question paper is divided in 2 parts namely Part 1 and Part 2 contributing to a total of 101 questions. The two papers need to be attempted in a single slot of the exam in the given time period of 3 hours.
- XAT Question Paper consists of 101 questions and it is a Computer Based Test (CBT). The question paper needs to be completed in 190 minutes i.e. 3 hours and 10 minutes wherein there is no sectional time limit to attempt these questions.

XAT Syllabus
XAT Syllabus 2023 is generally divided into 4 sections namely Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. Except the last one, General Awareness, the other three sections are determined for percentile calculation in XAT Result and XLRI Shortlisting Criteria. Marks obtained by candidates in General Awareness are not considered for percentile calculation but are later taken into account for the Personal Interview round.
Like other MBA Exams, the conducting authorities of XAT 2023 haven't formed a definitive syllabus for the examination due to which the preparation of XAT Exam becomes difficult. XAT Exam Day Guidelines
