SSC CGL Examination is organized by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of eligible candidates to fill up about 30 posts under different departments.
SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is scheduled from July 25, 2018 to August 20, 2018. The Tier 2 exam would be conducted from 17th to 22nd February 2019. A total of 4700+ vacancies are required to be filled through SSC CGL exam.
Staff Selection Commission is one of the most sought organizations in terms of Recruitment exams. SSC CGL is conducted for the purpose of recruiting non-technical Group B and Group C across various ministries.
The exam is held in 4 stages or tiers. The initial two are online while the final two are offline. The registration and communication process for the same would happen online. Candidates are required to qualify every stage of SSC CGL exam to proceed before getting selected for the next exam.
Before beginning the preparation for the same, one has to note the changes in exam and syllabus. The modifications are as below.
SSC CGL Tier 1 and 2 would be conducted in the online mode. There is an introduction of a descriptive paper of 100 marks that has to be done in a time frame of 60 minutes in pen and paper. There has also been a reduction in terms of the time of the Tier 1 examination from 75 minutes to 60. There is no sectional cutoff.
