The selection procedure of SNAP is carried out based on two steps namely SNAP entrance test and Selection Process. The entire process is generally followed by the participating institutes once the exam is conducted. Candidates are primarily shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance examination conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU).

The selection process basically includes Group Exercise, Personal Interview & Written Ability Test shortened as GE-PIWAT. After the successful completion of SNAP Entrance Test, the declaration of SNAP Result takes place post which the selection procedure is carried out.
SNAP Registration window is opened for students willing to take SNAP Exam and the schedule for further rounds of selection procedure is yet to be released on the official website of SNAP. SNAP Exam Application window will remain open from 23rd September 2020 to 29th November 2020.

SNAP Selection Procedure
SNAP Selection Procedure is a set of two steps wherein the students are chosen based on their performance in the entrance examination taken by SIU.
STEP 1: SNAP Exam
- First step for admission to SIU is qualifying the examination conducted by the university. The exam conducted by the university is Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP).
- Admission to all the Symbiosis Postgraduate Institutes takes place through the common written test SNAP.
- Candidates willing to apply must visit the official website of the university i.e. http://www.snaptest.org and register themselves for further process of application.

STEP 2: Selection Procedure
The selection procedure simply includes shortlisting candidates based on the marks obtained by them in SNAP examination. The procedure takes place in all the 15 institutes of Symbiosis International University.
- The list of shortlisted candidates is announced on the official website of the institutes as per the scheduled dates and students must not expect an individual letter to be sent to them who are not called for GE-PIWAT. The entire selection process is held at institute campuses only.
- The selection procedure consists of Group Exercise, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test (GE-PIWAT). A brief description of these segments is given below:

Group Exercise
- Group Exercise round is conducted to analyze students' skills. These skills include communication skills, their abilities to solve problems, and their determination and will to complete a task given to them.
- The students are segregated in different groups and given a topic to discuss amongst themselves.
- Besides, each group is given two case studies and based on students' presentation in Group Exercise, the students are shortlisted to appear in Personal Interview round.
Personal Interview
- The only purpose to conduct this round is to analyze students' ability to respond to questions asked. The students are examined based on their communication skills, interpersonal skills, and confidence.
Written Ability Test
- In this round, the students are required to appear in a pen-paper based test wherein they are given a topic to write upon.
- This round is to examine candidates' writing skills, grammar knowledge, and vocabulary. It also ensures students' consistency and time management.
