Candidates appearing for SNAP must have completed or be pursuing the degree in the final year of graduation during the respective year of appearing for the exam. However, there are two different stages of eligibility of SNAP as mentioned below:
- Eligibility criteria to appear for SNAP Entrance Exam
- Eligibility criteria to take admission in the 15 constituent colleges of SIU which takes scores of SNAP test.
Eligibility criteria to appear for SNAP Test:
- A candidate must be a graduate from a recognized institution or University and must have an aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the graduation.
- The candidates have to check the eligibility of the programs for the respective Institute which requires any particular specialization in any discipline.
- Any student who possesses an undergraduate degree in any Foreign University has to obtain a certification of equivalence from the AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

For seeking admission to the Symbiosis International University, the candidate has to verify all the foreign degree qualifications from AIU, which issues the certificate of equivalence for the foreign degrees through its Evaluation Division.
