The registration procedure to apply for NMAT 2022 Exam will get started from 1st August 2022 and the last date to apply for the exam is 10th October 2022. Students interested in registering themselves to take NMAT by GMAC are advised to do so before the application window closes on 10th October 2022. Candidates must also process the payment of application fee while registering for NMAT 2022. The marks scored by candidates in NMAT Exam is accepted across more than 30 leading business institutions and universities along with NMIMS University. 

The exam is held across 52 cities at 66 centers and there are 4 exam centers out of the country for students residing outside the country. Colleges that accept NMAT 2022 Score are NMIMS Mumbai, VIT, XIMB, etc.

Changes Introduced in NMAT 2022

Shorter Duration to Registration Span

  • The application window usually remains available for more than 90 days, but this time the window has been made live for almost 60 days.

Longer Testing Window

  • The testing window of NMAT 2022 has been increased to 88 days which was, last year, 75 days.

Lesser Number of Questions with Same Duration

  • The time duration to complete the exam is 120 minutes i.e. 2 hours but the number of questions has been reduced to 108 from 120.

Two Exam Modes

  • Due to the Coronavirus pandemic situation, GMAC has also introduced online proctored exam for students willing to take exam from home. There would be center based online examination as well. Students can choose either of the options based on their convenience.

Equal Sectional Weightage

  • The weightage for all the three sections in NMAT 2022 will remain equal and there is no negative marking.

Check Score Right After NMAT Exam

  • Candidate will be able to check their score within 48 hours of taking the examination.

NMAT Admit Card

After the successful completion of NMAT Registration Process and Filling of the Application Form, the candidates eagerly wait for admit card. NMAT Admit Card is expected to be released by GMAC during the first week of September 2022. The release of admit card takes place on the official website of NMAT.

  • Candidates applying during or after the month of September 2022 can download their admit card right after 24 hours of registration.
  • It is an essential document that must be carried during the examination.

The candidates are advised to visit the official website of NMAT and follow the below mentioned steps to download the admit card:

  • Visit the official website of NMAT i.e. nmat.org.in.
  • Click on “Download Admit Card” tab.
  • Enter the registered email id and password.
  • The Admit Card reflects on the computer screen.

NMAT Eligibility Criteria

Before taking NMAT by GMAC 2022, it is very important to know if you fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by GMAC or not. NMAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria are regulated and governed by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

Candidates must note the following points while applying for the examination:

  • They must possess a bachelor's degree in any field securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
  • Students with work experience of at least 2 year after graduation are given preference.
  • Candidates with nationality both Indian and NRI can apply for the examination.

It must be noted, the eligibility criteria may vary as per the allotted college.

NMAT Exam Pattern

The level of NMAT Exam can be considered Moderately Difficult. Each student is provided with three attempts (First attempt with maximum of two retakes during one session) to ensure good marks in the examination. The exam can be said to share similarities with the other leading MBA entrance examinations such as CAT, SNAP, XAT, etc.

It is a computer-based entrance examination with Multiple Choice Questions type of questions. There are three sections namely Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning.

  • The students are given choice to select the section they wish to solve first.
  • There are total 108 questions to be solved in 2 hours.
