IIT Bombay has commenced JEE Advanced Registration 2022 from 8 August 2022 (10 AM) on its official website i.e. jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced Application Window will remain open till 11th August 2022 (likely 5 PM). The top 2,50,00 rank holders of JEE Main 2022 across all the categories will stand eligible to apply for JEE Advanced. Candidates registering themselves for the exam must fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2022 on or before (preferably before) 11th August 2022 in order to avoid any hassle while filling up the application form. 

IIT Bombay will release JEE Advanced Admit Card on 23rd August 2022.

JEE Advanced 2022 Highlights

  • Aspirants must process the payment of JEE Advanced Registration Fee. The fee is INR 1400 for Females and Reserved category candidates while the fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 2800. 
  • JEE Advanced Exam 2022 will be conducted on 28th August 2022. JEE Advanced Admit Card is expected to be released on 23rd August 2022 on the official website of JEE Advanced. 
  • Candidates can download their respective JEE Advanced 2022 Admit Card by entering their registration number, date of birth, registered mobile number, and email id. There is reservation for candidates belonging to EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories. 
  • Candidates must also submit a valid proof of eligibility in order to claim JEE Advanced Reservation.

JEE Advanced 2022 Registration

JEE Advanced Registration 2022 began from 8 August 2022 (10 AM) by IIT Bombay. Candidates belonging to foreign countries will not be required to appear in the JEE Main and they can directly register themselves for the JEE Advanced Exam. Candidates must ensure that their JEE Advanced 2022 Application Form is correctly and completely filled as incomplete and incorrectly filled forms will be rejected by the examination conducting authorities.

Step 1 - JEE Advanced Registration

The registration procedure is the first step that students must take in order to successfully register themselves for the exam. Please follow the instructions mentioned below for JEE Advanced Application Form filling:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced.
  • Enter your JEE Main Roll Number/ JEE Main Application Number and Password. 
  • Enter a new password to proceed.
  • A new page will appear containing personal and academic details of candidates.
  • Enter basic details such as Language of the Question Paper (English/Hindi), Preferred City for Exam, etc. 
  • Enter 6 preferred cities as per your convenience where you would like to take the exam.
  • Save these steps and move to the next step.

Step 2 - Upload Required Documents

Candidates must keep their documents ready while they begin filling the JEE Advanced 2022 Application Form. Once they completely fill the form correctly, they should move further to upload the required documents as per the already mentioned specifications.

Step 3 - Payment of JEE (Advanced) 2022 Registration Fee

After the uploading of documents, candidates can move to the next step which is processing the payment of application fees. Candidates must notice that JEE Advanced Registration Fee is neither refundable nor transferable. Process the payment of registration fee and take a printout of the receipt and the duly filled application form for future reference. Note that JEE Advanced Application Form cannot be withdrawn once filled.

Payment of JEE Advanced Registration Fee

Below mentioned are the various payment modes for JEE Advanced Application Fee:

Payment by SBI Debit Card/ Internet Banking

  • When proceeding to make the payment of registration fee, click on the option “Pay Registration Fee”. The system will redirect to the State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page. 
  • Then candidates can select any of the displayed options such as SBI Debit Card or Internet Banking. After the payment is done successfully, candidates can take a printout of the completed registration details page with Unique Registration Number. 

Payment by Cash via SBI Branch Option

  • Candidates going for Cash payment must select ‘SBI Branch'. Doing this will generate a bank challan automatically. Take a printout of the challan and process the payment of registration fee in cash at any SBI Bank branch.

How to Pay JEE Advanced Registration Fee?

Processing the payment of JEE Advanced Registration Fee can be done in both online and offline modes. Below are the steps one should follow for online as well as offline payment methods:

Online Mode of Payment

  • Payment of Registration Fee has to be done while filling JEE Advanced Application Form 2022.
  • Click on the”Pay Registration Fee” link.
  • A new page will appear where you can select the payment mode i.e. Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI or Wallet.
  • After the payment is successfully made, URN will generate. Take a printout of the same and save it for future reference.

Offline Mode of Payment

  • While opting for offline mode, candidates must select the payment mode on JEE Advanced Application Form 2022 as “SBI Branch”.
  • This will generate an e-challan that students can later use to pay the fee in cash at any branch of SBI Bank.
  • After making the mandatory payment in cash, enter the transaction details.
  • The URN will be generated after the verification is done.
  • Save these details for future reference.

Payment of Exam Centers Outside India (SAARC/Non-SAARC/Indian Nationals)

  • Candidates will have to process the fee through International Debit or Credit Card issued by Foreign Banks and issued outside India.
  • No cash payment can be made.
  • Indian Cards will not be accepted.

  • In that case, candidates will always find an option to click on the SAVE button in the JEE Advanced Application Form 2022 to save the details filled in by them. Besides, they can even start where they left using JEE Advanced Login Credentials on the official website. Candidates will be required to enter their JEE Main 2022 Application Number and Password. They must also enter a security pin.

Documents Required for JEE Advanced Registration 2022

There are a few documents required to be submitted at the time of Registration of JEE Advanced. These documents are to be uploaded at the time of filling JEE Advanced Application Form.

  • Gazette notification showing the change of name (in case name different on 10th class certificate)
  • 10th Class Certificate or Birth Certificate
  • 12th Class Certificate
  • Additional Documents (If required)
  • OBC-NCL Certificate (issued on or after 1st April 2021) (check www.ncbc.in for latest updates and guidelines)
  • Caste certificate for SC/ST students 
  • PwD category certificate - Physical Disability certificate (FORM-PwD II/III/IV whichever is applicable]) issued by the notified medical authority.
  • Candidates with Dyslexia must submit FORM - DYSLEXIC 1 and 2 instead of FORM - PwD.
  • The certificate must mention ‘SEVERE' to enable the candidates to claim its benefits.
  • Individual IITs may also constitute a medical board at the time of admission to analyze candidates' disability level. 
  • Candidates who need scribe must request a letter to the Chairman of IIT Bombay.
  • Candidates seeking admission under DS category: Certificate (FORM-DS) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defense or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
  • For PIO/OCI Card Holders: PIO/OCI Certificate, as applicable.

JEE Advanced Important Guidelines for International Aspirants

  • Candidates who are not citizens of India and those whose parents are not citizens of India do not fall under the category of OCI category are treated as foreign aspirants.
  • 10% of the total seats in every course are allotted to foreign nationals.
  • Foreign aspirants are not eligible for the reservation under OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories. (mandated by Indian Govt.)
  • Foreign aspirants are not required to take the JEE Main Exam and can directly apply for JEE Advanced 2022.
  • Identity Proof - Citizen certificates or passport of both the candidates.
