JCECE is a multiple choice based exam. There would be a total of 3 papers -Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology. The questions
would be asked from the syllabus defined by CBSE.
There are 3 different groups:
PCM- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
PCB- Physics, Chemistry and Biology
PCMB- Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics and Biology.
Each section would be carrying 50 MCQs with 1 mark each.

The duration of the exam is for 4 hours.The duration differs among the group in the below mentioned ways:
Biology: 9 am to 10 am
Physics and Chemistry: 10.15-12.15 am
Mathematics 12.30-1.30 pm
The timing pattern is below mentioned:

The candidate shall be awarded 1 mark for every answer and 1/4 negative marking.
The candidate shall not get marks for unanswered questions.
More than 1 option selected for a question would be treated wrong.
