Important things to remember while filling the IIT JAM application form
- Carefully check the eligibility criteria of the exam before filling the application form
- The application fee is paid in online mode only.
- The name of the candidate in the application form should match the name mentioned in the qualifying degree.
- Do not use Prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt, etc. before the name.
- Candidates may choose one paper each from both the sessions, i.e. Session I (9:00 am to 12:00 noon) and Session II (2:00 pm to 5:00 pm).
- Session I is contains the following subjects- Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematics (MA) and Physics (PH)
- Session II include the following subjects – Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematical Statistics (MS).

How to modify the IIT JAM Application form?
- The first step is to send an email to the official of conducting body i.e IIT Bombay for minor modifications.
- The second step is to attach all the necessary documents in support for the needed changes.
- With the help of login id and password, all the necessary changes can be made in the application form.
- The subject line of an email should contain ‘Correction in data' along with the candidate's enrollment number.
