IBPS RRB Preparation has to be done in a planned way and every section requires a different strategy that needs to be followed. The same has been detailed below:

IBPS Preparation for English Section tests the basics. If a person is well-prepared, it can be easily cracked in 15-20 minutes. Some of the valuable tips are:

  1. You must hone your English Skills by referring to relevant material.
  2. If a candidate is strong in the English section, the section should be attempted first.
  3. Reading Comprehension Questions - Understand the meaning of the passage and try to answer the same.
  4. Fill in the Blanks - Apply the elimination method to give the right answer.
  5. Spot the Error/Sentence Correction - Form Sentences in memory to determine the right answer.
  6. A lot of practice papers need to be attempted to understand the right approach.

 Reasoning Tips:

  1. The primary focus should be on balancing speed and accuracy.
  2. Solve the easy questions such as - Classification, Odd pair, Direction Based Tests and Direction Sense tests.
  3. Formulae should be maintained by way of quick referral notes.
  4. Mock tests should be practiced to the extent of gaining perfection in the section.

Quantitative Aptitude:

  1. Easy Category questions such as Simplification, Age Problems, Average, Percentage and Simple Interest should be perfected to develop a comfort level with this section.
  2. This section would consume your time if your thinking approach for the same is not sound.
  3. IBPS Preliminary mocks should be practiced on a regular basis.
  4. IBPS Previous Year Question Papers can be referred to practice and gain mastery over this sections.

Allocation of time across sections:

  • English - 15 Mins
  • Reasoning - 20 Mins
  • Quantitative Aptitude - 25 Mins

The overall preparation tips are mentioned below:

  1. 0.25 marks would be deducted for every wrong answer.
  2. About 100 questions need to be solved in a time frame of 60 minutes.
  3. Practice sessions must be on an increase towards the exam.
  4. Instead of stress, sleep and good diet is recommended to do well in this exam.
