The CLAT 2018 was on the same lines as CLAT 2017. It was slightly difficult than last year.
- English: Unexpectedly, English was a bit tough this year. There were 10 tricky sentence correction questions out of the total 40 questions. The passage questions were also on the easier side. Attempting 35 questions would have been a safe bet.
- Logical Reasoning: It was an easy section with many questions on analytical reasoning, analogy, verbal reasoning. There were very few questions on statement argument and hence the section was not very tough.
- Mathematics: It was a tough part but not impossible. Arithmetic dominated the paper and there were questions from every topic like speed, aptitude probability etc.
- General Knowledge: This was dominated by current affairs. Questions on history were missing. International organizations, economy, and personalities formed a major part of this exam Aptitude.
- Legal: There were 15 questions from legal maxims, a topic usually ignored by students. There were a lot of questions based on criminal, tort, contract and constitutional law.
Most of the questions were easy and direct.
