The BITSAT consultation in 2021 is expected to take place from September 2021. The whole process is carried out in several iterations, with the admission list and the waiting list updated after each round. Students can look forward to 5-6 rounds that take place during the process. Qualified candidates can take part in the counseling process. Admission is based on marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying examination. The applicant's merit position for admission is based on the number of points the applicant has achieved in the selection test.
BITSAT Counseling Process
Candidates who qualify BITSAT Exam will be shortlisted for admission to the various campuses of BITS. They will be required to fill the admission form to participate in online counseling procedure. Candidates must also submit BITSAT Admission form along with their 12th class marksheet. Besides, they must also enter the preferences of colleges and program they wish to pursue their career in.
- Candidates who have passed 12th class in the academic year of 2020 or 2021 will be considered eligible to take BITSAT Exam 2021.
Below mentioned are the steps that students must follow in order be eligible for BITSAT Counseling:
Step 1: Online Registration
- Visit the official website of BITS i.e. bitsadmission.com.
- Navigate to and clink on the link to apply for ‘Admission to Integrated First Degree Programs'.
Step 2: Filling of Personal Details
- Fill the BITSAT Counseling Application Form by providing your BITSAT Application or Registration Number.
- Provide personal details such as name, mobile number, email id, etc.
- Candidates must make sure that the details are filled correctly as they will not be able to make changes in it.
Step 3: Educational Details
- Candidates must provide their educational details of 12th class while filling the BITSAT Admission Form.
- If candidates do not have their results announced yet, they can submit the same after its declaration by logging in to their profile.
Step 4: College Preferences
- After having done all the steps, candidates will be required to choose the order of college and courses offered according to their preference.
- The order in which the colleges are given preference must be correct.

Candidates with No 12th Class Marks
Candidates who do not have their 12th class marks must take a printout of their duly filled BITSAT Admission Form. Candidates must write on their form “Original Form Submitted. Class 12th Class marks being submitted now” (When candidates' 12th class result gets declared).
- Candidates must send this application form to the institute.
- There will be no additional charges for the fresh application form.
BITSAT Counseling Fee 2021
- Candidates who fill BITSAT counseling form 2021 will be required to pay the counseling fees.
- The fee for counseling of BITSAT is Rs 1,000.
- Candidates can process the payment of this amount through various payment modes.
- BITSAT counseling charge may be paid via cash in any respect ICICI bank branches together with a mainly generated Pay-in-Slip.

BITSAT Counseling Stages
BITSAT counseling procedure usually begins in May month. It is carried out in a number of iterations wherein the admission and the waiting list of the candidates may be published.

After the commencement of BITSAT Result 2021, the counseling procedure will start which could be maintained for a week. It is executed in steps:
- Document verification
- Seat allotment in diverse BITS campuses and courses.
- It is predicted that 4-five iterations of BITSAT counseling process will be conducted, and the process continues to exist until August month.
- As according to BITSAT 2021 Merit List, a seat may be assigned to the candidates.
- The waiting listing of applicants may be taken under consideration for the following rounds of seat allotment.
- Candidates with lower ranks are invited to appear in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds of counseling in the decreasing order of their ranks till all of the seats are filled.
Documents Required for BITSAT Counseling and Admission
Candidates who are considered eligible for BITSAT Counseling Procedure are required to bring the following documents at the time of admission. Candidates must carry all the original documents along with the attested photocopies. These documents are required for the purpose of verification.

BITSAT Seat Allotment

Selection criteria for BITSAT 2021
- Eligibility for courses with the exception of B. Pharm: The students must have passed 10 + 2 or an equivalent examination by a recognized body with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- Eligibility for B. Pharm: The students must have passed the 12th examination or an equivalent examination of a recognized body with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
- Applicants: Students who passed class 12th exam in 2020 or who will take the exam in 2021 can apply.
- Percentage Criterion: In the 12th exam, applicants must have passed the exam 75% grades in the PCB / PCM group and 60% in each subject.
- Admission is absolutely based on merit.
- The applicant's merit position for Admission is based on the number of marks the applicant has received in the qualifying test. If you are studying at BITS at any of their locations, you will not be qualified to apply.
Direct Admission via BITSAT 2021
- At BITS Pilani, the institute's admission process has always ensured the admission of all first-placed candidates in their respective board examinations.
- The only requirement here is that the candidate must have received at least 75% marks in PCM / PCB subjects in class 12th.
- With at least 60% in each of the PCM / PCB subjects in their class 12th board exam.
BITSAT Admission for International Students
- Students' Applications are also welcomed from international students who have completed the SAT
- SAT proficiency tests conducted by the College Board (USA) for admission to various undergraduate courses at the BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2021.
- Travel permits issued by countries other than India are qualified under the International Student Scheme.
- Admission is based on the marks obtained from the number of points that the applicant has received in the SAT examinations in physics, chemistry and mathematics at level 2.
Tie Breaker Criteria in BITSAT
Admissions offered at BITS locations for various courses are based entirely on the list of merit or grades earned by applicants. Apart from that, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for the minimum qualifications in order to get into Class XII. Board exam or equivalent proficiency test In a situation where two or more candidates have the same BITSAT score, rules will be applied.
The rules are mentioned below:
- The marks obtained in BITSAT of candidates are taken into account in the subject of Mathematics / Biology (for B. Pharma).
- If the tie persists, the candidate's score will be taken into account in the Physics subject of BITSAT Exam to prepare the merit list.
- If the tie still persists, it is considered to be the BITSAT score of the candidates in the Chemistry section.
- If the tie persists, the candidates' total scores obtained in the Class 12 exam in PCM / PCB will be taken into account.
Reporting to the BITS Campus
- After seating has been assigned, a candidate must report for admission to the campus.
- However, if that assigned seat is not the candidate's first preference, they will remain on the waiting list for their highest-preference programs on campus. Also, at the other locations until all approvals have been completed.
- To minimize inconvenience, it is planned to deactivate the race for programs offered at other locations.
- This can also be done after candidates have applied for admission to one of the locations. If so, you will only be considered for your highest-preference programs offered on the campus you joined.
