JNTU Kakinada would be in charge of determining the AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2019. For admissions in the available B.Tech engineering seats, candidates would be required to satisfy Eligibility Criteria. Age, Nationality, Domicile, educational qualification and more factors are some of the few.
The Application filled by ineligible candidates shall be rejected. The Application Form would be available from the 4th week of February until the fourth week of March 2019. The AP EAMCET Examination would be conducted in the last week of April 2019.
- Candidates should be an Indian National or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
- Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
- The candidates should satisfy local / not local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
Course wise Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
For B.tech, Pharmacy, and B.sc
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board or university with minimum 40% marks.
- The candidates should have appeared or completed the diploma engineering examinations that are conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
- For pharmacy and Science courses, candidates should have completed 16 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission.
- For engineering, candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission and an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in respect of SC/ST candidates.
For MBBS/ BDS
- Candidates must have passed 10+ 2 or equivalent with PCB or Biotechnology and English.
- The candidates should have scored at least 50% marks in PCB, in case of the reserved category the minimum aggregate marks to be scored is 40%.
The AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria in detail is explained as below:
Nationality
The candidates should be an Indian National. Persons of Indian Origin and Overseas Citizen of India card holders would also be eligible for Admissions.
Domicile
All the candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana. The candidates should most importantly satisfy Local/ Not Local status requirements as per the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
Age
The candidates should have attained 16 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission. The examination would have no upper age limit.
For Bachelor of Technology in Dairy Technology or Agricultural Engineering, the candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission. The upper age limit of the candidates belonging to the general category should be 22 years, while for SC/ST candidates should be 25 as on December 31 of the admission year.
Qualification
- The candidate should have qualified or appeared for final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana with Physics, Maths, and Chemistry as optional or related vocational subjects in the field of Engineering. Candidates who have qualified any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Board of Intermediate Education would also be termed eligible for admission purposes. Or
- The candidates should have passed or attempted the final year of the course in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training recognized equivalent by the State Board, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.
- In the examination, candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for the reserved category) in the subjects that have been taken.
- JNTU would be releasing the AP EAMCET Application in the 2nd week of February 2018. Prior to filling the Application Form, the candidates must go through the Eligibility criteria carefully. The candidates would be required to submit their detailed personal and academic information in order to register successfully for the Examination.
