AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination would have one paper that consists of 200 Objective Type Questions (Multiple Choice and Reason Assertion Type) concerning Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge. Refer to this table below for distribution.

The standard of the examination has been set to 10+2 intermediate Science. No syllabus as such has been prescribed by the Institute for the AIIMS MBBS Examination.
An Automated Question Paper in English or Hindi would be made to appear as per the choice of the candidates. Applicants must indicate in the form whether they prefer to have the question paper in either of these languages. Choice cannot be changed later.
AIIMS MBBS would be a single paper that would be conducted online. The language of the paper would be bilingual - English and Hindi. The AIIMS paper would be divided into 4 sections wherein 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology would be asked and 20 questions from the General Knowledge section.

All the candidates who appear for AIIMS MBBS 2019 on May 25 & May 26, 2019, must practice as much of AIIMS Sample Papers as possible to get familiar with the actual exam environment.
The AIIMS Exam Pattern 2019 has been drafted with an objective to help candidates understand the kind of questioning in the AIIMS Question paper, subject wise questions and other relevant information. The AIIMS would have separate question paper for each of these sessions while the pattern would be same. There would be 200 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, General Knowledge and Biology apart from the General Aptitude and Logical thinking. Candidates would have a total time limit of 3.5 hours to complete the examination which is usually conducted in two shifts. The standard of the questions asked in the examination would be equivalent to Grade 12 under the 10+2 scheme.
Question Distribution Scheme is shown as follows:

- General Knowledge: 10Q
- Aptitude and Logical thinking: 10Q
As per the AIIMS MBBS Marking Scheme, every question would consist of four questions in the multiple choice format, the candidates would be required to choose the most appropriate answer from it. The marking scheme has been explained as below:
- Every correct answer would be carrying 1 mark.
- Every incorrect response would have a 1/3 deduction.
- No marks shall be allotted for questions marked for review and not answered properly.
AIIMS 2019 Question paper language:
The medium of the AIIMS MBBS 2018 Examination would be both the languages i.e. English and Hindi. Candidates who are giving the Computer Based Test would be provided with a question paper which would be drafted either in English or Hindi. Applicants must indicate their language preference while filling the AIIMS Application which cannot be changed for the better at a later time.
AIIMS MBBS Examination Centers:
The AIIMS MBBS Examination Centers are usually announced by way of AIIMS MBBS Prospectus. At the time of filling the AIIMS MBBS Application Form, candidates would be choosing a total of 3 exam centers in the order of priority from a total list of approximately 155 exam centers which have been offered as options. There are 16 fewer centers in comparison to last year when they were about 171 exam centers. The allotted exam center shall be displayed on the AIIMS MBBS Admit Card of the candidate.
Guidelines for AIIMS MBBS Admit Card are as follows:
- Candidates would be required to carry AIIMS MBBS Admit Card, ID Proof and one photograph in order to appear for the examination. No candidate would be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid admit card and ID proof.
- Candidates would be advised to reach the examination center at least 30 minutes prior to the examination time depending on the slot that they have been allotted. Candidates would be subjected to various mandatory pre-exam activities such as biometric capture and photo capture.
- Candidates should not carry wristwatches, calculator or mobile phones or any kind of electronic devices into the examination hall.
- Any changes that are required to be made to the address, mobile number and email ID should be promptly reported to Assistant Controller of Examination, AIIMS, New Delhi.
- Candidates should not bring pen/pencil to the examination premises. The pen shall be provided by the examination authorities for completing examination associated formalities and rough work if any.
- In any case, if a candidate is found copying/ talking to other candidates he/she shall be disqualified from taking the examination and the subsequent one or two examinations as per the nature of the offense.
