The cutoff score is the lowest possible score a candidate must secure to qualify the entrance examination. The cutoff is based on multiple aspects like - number of candidates, seats, marking scheme and difficulty level. According to the information brochure of AIIMS, a candidate who belongs to the general category would have to secure a minimum of 50% and candidate belonging to SC/ST Category would have to obtain a minimum of 40%.
Based on the qualifying marks in AIIMS, a merit list would be declared consisting of candidate's name, AIR, and Date of birth.
AIIMS, New Delhi has declared pre-determined qualifying marks of AIIMS MBBS for different categories. Candidates can check qualifying marks for different caste categories:
- General/General OPH - 50%
- SC/ST/SC OPH/ST OPH - 40%
- OBC/ OBC OPH - 45%
