AIIMS 2023 - Exam dates, Registration, Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Cutoff
Admission to the AIIMS, MBBS programme in 2023 will be made through the NEET 2023 test. NEET has been introduced to replace the AIIMS exam (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test). Results from the NEET-UG are used to determine admission to MBBS and BDS programmes. The National Testing Agency administers this entrance test on a national basis each year. Candidates would be able to enrol in nine AIIMS institutions through this exam, including Bhopal, Raipur, Rishikesh, Jodhpur, etc.

AIIMS 2023 Application Form
- The application form for candidates can be filled out online. The form cannot be filled out in any offline manner.
- In April 2023's first week, an application form will be made available.
- A code for final registration will be issued to the candidates once basic registration is finished.
- Carefully enter all the requested information to prevent errors.
- Fill up the application form with your personal, academic, and other information.
- Upload the necessary documents, including your photo and signature, in the format required.
- Applications will be accepted through the third week in May 2023.
- For a little while, the government will provide a correctional facility.
- Take a printout of the application form that has been completed and store it safely for use in the future.
Below are the steps to fill out ana application of AIIMS 2023
Step 1: Registration
- The applicant is required to fill the basic details such as Full Name, DOB, Category, Gender, Email and Contact Number to get login credentials.
- After completion of your initial step, the applicant would get an SMS and email intimating the login credentials.
- The candidate is required to login and changes his password.?
- After completing the first step of the Application Procedure, My Page would be generated for the Applicant bearing the entire information of the applicant that has been entered.
Step 2: Payment of Fee
- Payment of Application Fee can be done through Debit Card/Credit Card or Net banking.
- Once the Application Fee is successfully paid, a printout of the Payment Receipt needs to be taken for future correspondence.
Step 3: Selecting the city
- The Examination City from the list would be selected. City Availability List shows the real-time status which one selected cannot be changed later.
Step 4: Qualification and Address
- The Candidate must fill correct Qualification and Address details on the likes of the Qualifying exam name and the year, etc.
Step 5: Image Uploading
- The Applicant is required to upload a recently taken Photograph, Signature and Thumb Impression in JPEG Format. The size of the Photograph file must be 10KB-100KB while the digital size of the Signature and Left Thumb Impression must be 10KB-50KB.
Step 6:?Printing the Application Form
- Applicant should take a printout of the Application Form and check if all the details have been filled properly and adequately. Once the form is submitted, no other changes will be entertained.?
- The Application Form is not required to be sent to the Exam Office. The AIIMS Application Form along the Payment receipt needs to be maintained for future reference.
- No written acknowledgment will be given as against application. The Application Completion Status can be viewed by the student on his login ID.

AIIMS 2023 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates of any nationality, including Indians, PIOs, OCIs, NRIs, and foreigners, may apply.
- Lower Age Limit: As of December 31, 2023, candidates must be at least 17 years old.
- There is no higher age limit and no applicable criterion.
- Candidates must have passed the 12th grade or an equivalent exam from a recognised school or board to be eligible.
- Chemistry, physics, biology, biotechnology, and English will all be required studies.
- Candidates must have received 60 percent of the possible points on the PCB (45 percent for PWDB and 50 percent for SC/ ST candidates) to be considered for admission.
- Candidates who will be doing the intermediate course are also eligible to apply.
AIIMS 2023 Admit Card
Candidates who have registered for the exam would be able to download the?AIIMS admit card?through the official website. The?AIIMS 2023 admit card?would not be sent by post. The admit card would carry various exam related details. Duplicate admit card would not be issued once the examination ends.
AIIMS 2023 admit card contains the following details:
- Name of the candidate
- Name of the guardian
- Roll number of the candidate
- Date of the exam
- Name of the exam
- Exam timings
- Exam center
- Exam language
- Other exam related instructions
The exam would be for a total schedule of 3.5 hours. The exam would be conducted on two shifts - Morning shift (9-12.30 am) and Afternoon ( 3-6.30 pm). This exam would be conducted across 171 cities in the country.

Candidates should note that as per AIIMS Delhi rules, no candidate without the possession of a valid?AIIMS Admit Card?would be permitted to enter the?AIIMS?Examination hall or appear for AIIMS MBBS Entrance examination. Along with the?AIIMS Admit card, candidates would be required to bring an ID Proof (Driving License, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card and one passport size photo to the examination hall.?
Discrepancies in AIIMS MBBS Admit Card are as follows:
Candidates are advised to check the information carefully mentioned on the?AIIMS Admit Card MBBS.In case of any discrepancy mentioned on the?AIIMS MBBS Admit Card?or a candidate does not receive his/ her admit card, or if his/her status does not appear, the Assistant Controller of Examinations should be immediately informed.?
Highlights of AIIMS MBBS Admit Card are as follows:
- The AIIMS MBBS Admit Card shall be made available online.?
- Candidates would be required to carry a printout of the AIIMS Admit Card and not a photocopy.
- No candidate would be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid AIIMS MBBS Admit Card.?
- Apart from AIIMS Admit Card 2023, candidates would be required to have an ID Proof and a recent passport size photograph.?
- Candidates would not be allowed to take ornaments, belts, credit card and headgear to the examination center.?
- Candidates would be required to retain their AIIMS MBBS Admit Card until they complete their admission process and seat allotment across various AIIMS Campuses.?
- Candidates would be advised to reach the examination hall at least one hour prior to the start of the examination as mentioned in the AIIMS Admit card as they would have to go through bio-metric procedures and security checks.?
- The candidate should not write anything on AIIMS Admit Card in the course of the examination.
- In case of any changes in the AIIMS MBBS Admit Card, it should be brought to the prompt notice of Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS, New Delhi.?
AIIMS 2023 Syllabus
The language of?AIIMS Medical Entrance?exam would be in?English or Hindi, according to the choice of the exam aspirant. The exam pattern would be conducting of 200 questions - 60 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology and remaining 20 questions from General Knowledge.
The Physics syllabus is as follows:
- Electrostatics - Electric charges,Electric field,Electric flux,Electric potential, potential difference, Conductors, Insulators,free charges,bound charges,equipotential surfaces,Superposition principle,Continuous charge distribution,Dipole and a system of charges.
- Current Electricity - Electric current, velocity, mobility, Ohms law, electrical resistivity, conductivity, carbon resistors, temperature dependence,?Kircchoff'slaws and simple applications, Potentiometer - concepts and applications.
- Magnetic effects of Current and Magnetism - Magnetic field, Biot-Savart Law, Ampere's Law, Cyclotron, Current loop as a magnetic dipole, Parra dio and Ferromagnetic devices, Electromagnetic and factors affecting them.
- Electromagnetic induction and alternation of currents- Faraday's law, Lenz Law, Self and mutual inductance, LCR Series circuit, power in AC circuits, AC Generator and transformer
- Electromagnetic waves - Displacement current, electromagnetic?waves?and characteristics, electromagnetic spectrum.
- Optics: Reflection of light, spherical mirrors, refraction of light, Scattering of light, Microscope, Telescopes, Wave optics, Diffraction concepts
- Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation: Photoelectric effect, Einstein's photoelectric?equation, Matter waves.
The Chemistry syllabus is as follows:
- Solid state: Classification of solids based on different binding forces such as molecular, ionic?covalent?and metallic solids, amorphous and crystalline solids.
- Solutions: Types of solutions, the solubility of the?gas in liquids, solid solutions, colligative properties.
- Electrochemistry: Redox reaction, Electrolytic solutions, Kohlrausch's Law, electrolysis and laws of electrolysis, EMF,?Standard electrode potential.
- Chemical Kinetics: Rate of a reaction, factors affecting the rate of a reaction, temperature, catalyst,?order and molecularity of a reaction.
- Surface Chemistry: Adsorption, Chemisorption, Catalysis of homogenous and heterogeneous, enzyme catalysis, colloid properties,?Brownian?movement, electrophoresis, types of emulsions.
- General principles and processes of isolations of elements - Principles, methods to extract, oxidation, extraction of?aluminum, copper,?zinc and iron.
The Biology syllabus is as follows:
- Reproduction in organisms which is sexual and asexual. Binary fission, sporulation, budding,?gemmule, fragmentation, vegetative propagation, sexual reproduction in plants, double?fertilization?and?post-fertilization?events.
- Genetics and evolution: Heredity, variation, Klinefelter syndrome, the molecular basis of?inheritance, DNA?Replication, Adaptive radiation, Human evolution
- Biology and Human welfare: Microbes, Pathogens, parasites causing human diseases,?biofortification, sewage?treatment, generation of energy, microbes causing human welfare.

AIIMS Exam Pattern 2023
AIIMS MBBS Entrance Examination?would have one paper that consists of?200 Objective Type Questions?(Multiple Choice and Reason Assertion Type) concerning?Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge. Refer to this table below for distribution.

AIIMS Exam Result 2023
The exam convening authority will release?a rank list of the candidates on the official website. Candidates would be able to check their roll numbers in the list that has been provided. Once the?AIIMS Result stands declared, the candidates can check information relating to AIIMS Cutoff and the Counseling procedure. The seat for them would be allotted on the basis of AIIMS MBBS Rank. In every category, the number of candidates called for counseling would be 4 times the total number of seats available across all categories.
AIIMS Exam Counseling 2023
- The AIIMS MBBS Counseling will be held for admissions to 1200+ seats in the 11 AIIMS Institutes the nation over.
- The AIIMS Counseling is led in the offline mode at the Jawaharlal Auditorium, New Delhi. Applicants are required to be available for the counseling as per the schedule declared in favor of their rank. On the off chance that a candidate does not to attend the counseling, at that point his/her candidature is rejected.
- Counseling for the reserved seats will start simply after all the open seats are allotted.
- The SC/ST and OBC applicants need to show up at the counseling to avail of their reserved seats. AIIMS Exam Cut Off 2023
The?cutoff score?is the?lowest possible score?a candidate must secure to qualify the entrance examination. The cutoff is based on multiple aspects like -?number of candidates, seats, marking scheme and difficulty level. According to the information brochure of AIIMS, a candidate who belongs to the?general category?would have to secure a?minimum of 50%?and candidate belonging to?SC/ST Category?would have to obtain a?minimum of 40%.?
