The ACT (American College Testing) is a standardized exam that high school students take to qualify for admission to their preferred colleges in the USA and certain English-speaking nations. It gauges students' college readiness and equips colleges with the information they need to evaluate candidates for undergraduate programs. The test evaluates the candidate's mathematical, written, scientific, and verbal abilities and consists of four sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science. Based on the admission criteria established by the college or university, candidates may also be required to complete an optional Writing test.
