NIT Silchar is one of the best NITs present in India. It provides B.Tech. in 7 disciplines and PG in four different courses.

UG Courses:
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate seeking admission in the B.Tech. from NIT Silchar should have done 10+2 from a recognized board/institute/school with at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Maths, and Chemistry.
- The candidate should be in the top 20 Percentile of XII according to the merit in XII.
- The candidate should have attained 17 years of age on the date of admission.
Admission Procedure:
- The admission in the B.Tech. provided by the NIT Silchar is done on the basis of merit obtained in the JEE Main.
- The final merit is made on the basis of merit obtained in the XII(40%) and merit obtained in JEE Main(60%).
- The seat allotment is done through counseling done by JoSSA-CSAB.

- Admit Card of JEE Main

PG Courses:

M.Tech. | The candidate seeking admission in the M.Tech. from NIT Silchar should have done B.Tech. in the relevant discipline with at least 60% aggregate. |
MBA | The candidate seeking admission in the MBA should have done Graduation from a recognized college/institute in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate. |
M.Sc. | The candidate seeking admission in the M.Sc. should have done B.Sc. from a recognized university/institute with at least 50% aggregate. |
PhD | The candidate should have done Masters from a recognized college/institute. |
