The National Institute of Fashion Technology is a group of institutes conducting fashion courses in India. The NIFT Delhi was established in the academic year of 1986. The institute is affiliated with the Ministry of Textiles and was established with the approval of the Government of India. NIFT Delhi Ranking in the Fashion Design Category is 1 by India Today in 2023.
NIFT Delhi initially started with only one program of fashion design in its first session. Currently, there are sixteen campuses and NIFT Delhi is the main campus (Headquarters and University Head Office). NIFT Delhi Courses and Fees 2024-25
NIFT Delhi offers various specializations to UG and PG programs. The candidates can choose the respective programs they wish to pursue in their careers. The Undergraduate programs include B.F.Tech and B.Des while the postgraduate programs are M.Des, MFM, and M.F.Tech. Admission to these courses varies from one course to another. The candidates seeking admission must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the institute. The NIFT Admission 2024 is defined by a set of simple steps to be completed by the aspiring candidates.
For admission to its programs, NIFT Delhi conducts an entrance examination known as NIFT GAT.

The NIFT Delhi Placements follows a remarkable trend in the past. The Training and Placement cell has good collaborations with national and multinational companies. NIFT Delhi has been the first stop to hire employees from top-notch Designers, creative directors, tech-savvy fashion professionals, and fashion companies. But now even the non-fashion industry professionals like FMCG, media, journalism, consulting, and other companies have started to hire students from NIFT Delhi. NIFT Delhi Scholarships
Students who get admission to NIFT Delhi can apply for the scholarship program when their academic session starts. The students are shortlisted for scholarships based on the merit list. The scholarship criteria are
- College Merit-based Scholarship and University Merit-based Scholarship.
- Students belonging to economically weaker sections are provided with fee concessions as decided by the college administration.
- The college also offers merit and national scholarships by the central and state government scholarship criteria.
- It is the college administration that decides the amount of scholarships offered to students.
