The commencement of Aditya Engineering College, Surampalem (Andhra Pradesh), commonly referred to as AEC, took place in the academic year of 2001-02. The college was established under the aegis of Aditya Academy, Kakinada. The college has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.
