BHM Course Eligibility
· To be admitted to the BHM programme, you must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:
· Your age should be between 19 and 22 years old (General Category). SC and ST applicants are given a 2-3 year reprieve.
· You must have obtained or earned at least a 50% grade point average in 10+2 from a recognised board or equivalent.
· If you are seeking for lateral entrance, you must have a minimum of a 50 percent score in a 3-year diploma in hotel management or an equivalent.
· You must have finished your qualification with English as a required subject.
· You should be able to communicate effectively.
BHM Admission Process 2022
BHM admissions are typically merit-based, however only a few universities and institutions administer their own aptitude exams. UPSEE, AIHMCT WAT, IIHM ECHAT, and other entrance tests may be required of you.
The following three routes of entrance to this course are discussed in the section below
Entrance Exam Based Admission: A few colleges have their own aptitude tests at the college level, while certain national level entrance examinations are also held. Candidates who pass the examination are invited to counselling and group discussion sessions.
Admission based on merit: You can also apply for BHM colleges based on merit. Few of these merit-based BHM-providing schools accept applicants. You may apply to these universities both online and in person. You must fill out the form with your personal information, educational qualifications, and other information. After you have paid the application money in full, you must wait for the universities to disclose the merit list.
Lateral Entry Admission: This refers to admission directly into the second year of the programme you have chosen. You must have completed your diploma in the relevant subject for this. The qualifying standards for the same may vary from institute to institute, such as in WelcomGroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, where you must have a 3-year diploma in hotel management or equivalent after 10+2.
