XAT is considered as one of the most difficult entrance examinations across the country when it comes to Management Entrance examination. Candidates aspiring to study in Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI) appear for XAT, however, it is not that easy to qualify the examination. XAT Score is accepted by 11 Institutes of Xavier Association of Management.

XAT Selection Procedure 2019:
Before getting detailed on XAT 2019 Selection Procedure, the candidate must understand that who can appear for XAT examination.
Who can appear for XAT?
- The candidate aspiring to appear for XAT must have completed graduation.
XAT Selection Procedure involves the following four steps:
- Appearing for XAT examination:
The aspirant must appear for XAT examination which is conducted in the month of January every year. The candidate must meticulously check the XAT Exam Pattern and XAT Syllabus before appearing for the examination. The candidate must also check previous year question papers while preparing for the exam. During the evaluation, the overall cutoff and the section-wise cutoff is prepared. From this year, there has been a minor change in the XAT Exam Pattern. The essay writing section has been removed from the XAT question paper from the year 2019.
- Scores and Cutoff:
After successfully conducting the examination, the institute releases the overall and section-wise cutoff for the candidates who appeared for XAT. Following is the section-wise Expected Cutoff for management courses offered by XLRI:

The institutes that accept XAT score will release their separate cutoff after the declaration of results by the examination conducting authority. The candidate who qualifies the examination with the required score will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview Round.
- Group Discussion Round:
At times Group Discussions are replaced by other ability tests by the institutes. However, there are numerous institutes that conduct Group Discussion rounds to analyze the caliber of the applicant. As Group Discussion is a crucial step towards your admission in the respective institution, its advisable to do research before attending the GD round. Check the latest topics and other topics that are usually raised during Group Discussions will help you perform well in it.
- Personal Interview Round:
After Group Discussion, the candidate will have to appear for Personal Interview Round. The Personal Interview Round will be conducted by the esteemed faculties and members of the board. Try to convince the panel with your abilities and positive approach towards your goal.
- Final Selection:
The candidates who perform well in the GD and PI round apart from qualifying the XAT examination will be selected for admission. The selected candidates will be required to participate in the Counselling rounds that would be conducted by the institute.
