WBJEE Exam Result 2024
The WBJEE Exam was conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) on April 28, 2024. WBJEE 2024 results will be announced on their official website at on wbjeeb.nic.in. on June 6, 2024. The candidates will need to log in with the necessary information to view the WBJEE result 2024. Steps to Download WBJEE Result 2024
Candidates can check and download their WBJEE 2024 results by following these steps:
Step 1: Go to the official website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘WBJEE 2024 result link’, and Log in using your WBJEE 2024 application number and birth date.
Step 3: The WBJEE 2024 result and rank card will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Download the WBJEE result 2024 for future use.

The total score and component scores obtained by candidates in both papers I and II will be displayed on the WBJEE rank card. Only candidates who have passed the entrance examination are assigned ranks. Candidates will be able to access their WBJEE 2024 results in the form of a rank card.
Candidates should carefully review all of the information provided in their WBJEE results. Aside from the personal information on the WBJEE rank card, the following information will be included:

WBJEE 2024 Tie-breaking Method
There could be a situation where two or more candidates in WBJEE 2024 achieve the same rank. In such cases, the following tie-breaking rules will be applied in the following order:
- Candidates will be ranked higher if their combined negative scores in math, physics, and chemistry are lower.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the higher overall score in physics and mathematics will be ranked higher.
- The candidate with the highest overall score in math and chemistry will be ranked higher if the tie is still unbroken.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the lower overall score in physics and mathematics will be given a higher rank.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the lower cumulative negative score in chemistry and mathematics will be given a higher rank.
- If there is still a tie, the candidate with the higher percentage of passing marks in mathematics on the two-mark questions will be given a higher ranking.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the higher percentage of passing marks in Physics on the two-mark questions will be given a higher rank.
- If the tie remains, the candidate with the most positive marks in Chemistry for only the two-point questions will be assigned a higher rank.
- If the tie remains, the candidate with the lowest negative marks in Mathematics for only the two-point questions will be ranked higher.
- If there is still a tie, the candidate with the lowest negative marks in Physics for only the two-mark questions will be given a higher rank.
- If the tie remains, the candidate with the lowest negative marks in Chemistry for only the two-mark questions will be assigned a higher rank.
- If a tie remains after applying the tie-breaking rules outlined above, the candidate's date of birth will be considered. In such cases, the older candidate is given priority admission.

WBJEE Merit List 2024
The merit list will be released alongside the announcement of the WBJEE result 2024. Candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to participate in the counseling process. The WBJEE merit list will be compiled using the candidate's marks in each subject as well as the total marks. The category of candidates will also influence the WBJEE 2024 merit list.
On the basis of the candidate's scores in all three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) of the entrance exam, the WBJEE 2024 General Merit List (GMR) will be published. Additionally, a separate merit list will be made public for applicants who fall under one of the following categories: SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD, and TFW. GMR, however, will be used for all counseling sessions and seat selection processes.
WBJEE General Merit List (GMR):
- Applicable for admission to Degree Level Engineering/Technology/Architecture Courses in West Bengal.
- Valid for the degree-level Pharmacy course at Jadavpur University.
- Compiled based on scores in WBJEE 2024 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Ranking determined in descending order of total marks across all subjects.
- Tie-breaking rules apply in the case of ties.
- Reserved category merit positions indicated: SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank.
- Specifically applicable for competitive seat allotment and counseling.
WBJEE Pharmacy Merit List (PMR):
- Designed for admission to degree-level Pharmacy Courses, excluding Jadavpur University.
- GMR applies to admission to the degree-level Pharmacy Course at Jadavpur University.
- Prepared based on scores in the combined paper of Physics & Chemistry in WBJEE 2024.
- Ranking determined in descending order of total marks in Physics and Chemistry.
- Tie-breaking rules apply in the case of ties.
- Reserved category merit lists indicated: SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank.
- Specifically applicable for competitive seat allotment and counseling.
Note:
- Three separate merit lists for WBJEE exams (engineering, medical, and pharmacy).
- The rule does not apply to Jadavpur University.

WBJEEB will release the WBJEE cutoff in online mode once the counseling process is completed. The WBJEE cut-off will be the starting and ending ranks within which the participating institutes will offer admission to candidates.
