OJEE Counselling 2023: Key Highlights

The counselling process for OJEE 2023 will commence after the announcement of results. The following specifications are involved in the counselling process:

  • Counselling Fee: Candidates are required to pay a counselling fee of INR 450 through online modes such as debit/credit card or net banking. Upon successful payment of the fee, candidates can proceed to select their preferred choices.
  • Documents: Candidates must attend the OJEE 2023 counselling at the designated nodal centres with all original documents in hand.
  • Document Verification: Candidates will undergo a document verification procedure during the OJEE counselling 2023 process. After this step, they will be required to seal their college choice for the final admission.

How can I access the OJEE Seat Allotment Result 2023?

Once the OJEE seat allotment results are declared, candidates can follow the steps below to check them on the official website:

OJEE Counselling 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for candidates participating in OJEE 2023 counselling are as follows:

  • Minimum Aggregate Percentage: Candidates from the general category must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in class 12th, with passing marks in all subjects. SC/ST candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 40%.
  • NEET (UG) Qualification: Candidates participating in BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified NEET (UG) with a minimum qualified rank.
  • Age Requirement: Candidates must have completed at least 17 years of age as of the year of admission.
  • Native of Odisha: Candidates' parents should be native to the state of Odisha and must present a resident/nativity certificate during the document verification process.

What are the documents required for the OJEE Counselling Process  2023?

OJEE Counselling Process 2023

Step 1: Registration Process

  • Candidates are required to visit the official website and complete the registration process in order to participate in the counselling rounds. They can also copy and paste the following link in their web browser: https://admissions.nic.in/OJEE/Applicant/Root/Home.aspx.
  • Candidates need to fill in their application number, name, gender, and date of birth, and submit the form. They also need to provide other details in the OJEE counselling registration forms, such as course, ranks, marks, documents for educational qualification, category, family income certificate, and bank details for fee payment.
  • Additionally, for MBA, MCA, MTech/MPlan/MArch, and MPharm courses, candidates need to select the entrance exam they have qualified, such as OJEE, GATE, GPAT, NIMCET, CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or ATMA. Once all the details are filled in, a password will be generated for candidates' accounts, and they need to pay a counselling fee of INR 450.

Step 2: Choice Filling/Option Locking

  • After fee payment, candidates can fill in their choices from the list of participating colleges for their selected courses and specializations.
  • They can add, edit, delete, and change the order of preference from the list of colleges.
  • After making their choices, candidates need to lock them by freezing and wait for the seat allotment list. Candidates must note that once the choices are locked, they cannot be changed.

Step 3: Announcement of Seat Allotment List

  • The counselling cell releases a seat allotment list for available colleges based on the choices filled by candidates and a merit list/rank list.
  • Candidates can save their seat allotment and visit the counselling centre if they want to secure a seat. If not, they can skip this round and wait for the next seat allotment list as and when notified by the counselling cell.

Step 4: Document Verification

  • For confirming their seat at the allotted college/s, candidates should provide documents of eligibility required for the course.
  • They need to upload the original documents verified and submit a copy of all the documents online.
  • Candidates also need to make a part admission fee payment of INR 10,000/- for the General category and INR 5,000/- for SC/ST/PC categories.
  • After this, candidates are issued a final seat allotment letter with the college name, course, and other relevant information.
  • Candidates also have an option of withdrawal after allotment within different rounds of counselling, and the money will be refunded. This option will be activated only after paying the part admission fee.
  • The candidates will be notified about the last date of withdrawal. Withdrawal after the last date will not be considered, and the money deposited by the candidate will be forfeited.

Step 5: Admission Confirmation

  • After document verification, candidates need to report to the allotted colleges, submit the required documents, and pay the remaining admission fee after the final allotment round.
  • In case candidates do not report to the allotted colleges within the specified time, their admission will be cancelled.
  • If candidates withdraw from allotted seats, they will not be eligible to participate in the next round of seat allotment, and the remaining candidates who opted for upgradation will be considered for upgradation.

OJEE Counselling through JEE Main

Once a candidate has qualified for JEE Main, they become eligible for counselling. In addition to the counselling conducted through JEE Mains exam, candidates are required to carry certain documents for verification.

The documents that need to be carried for counselling are listed below:

  • JEE Main 2023 Result card
  • Online registration slip of OJEE 2023 counselling.
  • Admission fee payment receipt.
  • Class 10th certificate/ any other document showing the candidate's date of birth.
  • Class 12th standard mark sheet and pass certificate.
  • Resident/Nativity Certificate in original from concerned Revenue Officer not below the Tahsildar.
  • Original SC/ST/ Category Certificate by the birth state of Odisha.
  • Income Certificate for TFW candidates.
  • Green Card issued by the Family Welfare Department of Govt. Of Odisha.
  • Ex-Serviceman candidates apply at Rajya Sainik Board and verify whether their name is recommended or not.
  • Original Certificate in support of Outlying Odia Speaking Tract category.
  • Certificate in support of NRI.
  • Medical Certificate from SCB Medical College by PC candidates.
  • Certificate of Employment of candidate's parents from Govt of Odisha/Govt. Of India/Govt. Of India undertakings/Govt. Of Odisha undertakings located in Odisha at the time of application.

OJEE Counselling through Web

OJEE 2023 also includes web counselling for its candidates. The detailed procedure for web counselling in OJEE 2023 is provided below.

  • Purpose: OJEE 2023 counselling is conducted for admission into various courses in the state of Odisha.
  • Selection of College and Course: Candidates of OJEE 2023 are required to fill out the online application form and select the college or course of their choice.
  • Online Registration: Candidates must register themselves on the official website in order to participate in the counselling process.
  • Payment: OJEE 2023 candidates are also required to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of INR 450.
