OHPC Eligibility Criteria
OHPC Educational Qualification 2023
- All candidates should have a 10+2 mark sheet (or equivalent) from a recognized education board.
- Electrical Trainee: Candidates must complete a full-time degree/diploma in Electrical engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Mechanical Trainee: Candidates must complete a full-time degree/diploma in Mechanical engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Civil Trainee: Candidates must complete a full-time degree/diploma in Civil engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Instrumentation and Control Trainee: Candidates must complete a full-time degree/PG Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Information Technology: Candidates must complete a full-time degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Application with at least 60% marks.
- Crane Operator Trainee: Candidates should have a Workman C permit/ ITI in concerned trades along with a minimum 5 years of experience in crane operation.
- Store Keeper: Candidates should have a B.com degree or a 1-year diploma in Computer Application.
All the engineering courses mentioned should be AICTE-approved. - The aggregate marks for reserved category candidates are reduced to 50%.
OHPC Age Limit 2023
- The age of the candidate should be between 18 - 38 years old at the time of the recruitment.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories have 5-year upper age relaxations as per the government norms.
- PWD Candidates have 10 years upper age limit for OHPC.

Candidates applying for OHPC recruitment should follow the application process step-wise to not miss out in vital information. Also, it is mandatory to provide the applicant’s apprenticeship registration number before the OHPC application.

The OHPC DET Exam concluded on the 27 and 28 October, 2023. The total number of marks in the DET Exam is 120 marks. Candidates preparing for the OHPC DET Exam must be aware of the exam pattern.

Every question carries 1 mark each. However, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
OHPC Selection Process
Candidates applying for the OHPC GET and OHPC DET positions are evaluated on the basis of a two-phase selection process. First, the candidates need to appear for the OHPC exam. If they qualify for the exam, they will be called for the second phase of document verification and a small interview round. Upon successful completion of these phases, they will be selected for the Trainee posts.
OHPC Pay Scale 2023
Recruited candidates need to undergo mandatory official training before joining the position. Their monthly compensation at this time would be around INR 40,000.
Candidates who successfully complete the training shall be assigned to Junior managers and other similar posts, of which they will be salaried on a monthly pay scale of INR 44, 900 to INR 81,100.
