The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test is a test that is administered to applicants by the National Institute of Technology on a rotating basis. Candidates for MCA programs can be admitted to one of the eleven participating National Institute of Technology institutions. The admission process might offer applicants based on qualifying eligibility requirements.

NIMCET Educational Requirements:
- The candidate must have passed the qualifying exam and hold a B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons), BCA, or BIT degree from an accredited university with mathematics or statistics as one of the disciplines. OR Candidates can apply for the NIMCET 2023 if they have a B.E. or B.Tech degree from an accredited university.
- Candidates who will be sitting in the exam can apply. The qualifying exam degree must be submitted by such candidates at the time of counseling. These materials must be submitted by all candidates by the second week of May 2023.
- Candidates from open institutions who have successfully completed B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons.), BCA, or BIT programmes are eligible to apply. The UGC, AICTE, and Distance Education Council (DEC) of the Indian government have all authorized these programs.

NIMCET Qualifying Marks Criteria:
Candidates must receive at least 60% of their total marks—or a five CGPA on a scale of ten points—to pass the NIMCET qualifying test.
The required minimum grade for SC/ST applicants should be 55%, or a CGPA of 0 on a scale of 10.

Note: It is not possible to convert score points from CGPA to percentage and vice versa.
The proportion of grades or grade points in the qualifying communicating will be computed based on the grades or grade points earned throughout all of the topics studied in all of the years, including with any supplementary or optional subjects that were studied.

Important Information About Eligibility
- Before registering for the test, candidates should carefully review the qualifying requirements.
- If the conditions are not satisfied, the application may be refused.
- Candidates who fall under the OBC category must meet both caste and creamy layer requirements.
- The OBC certificate must be submitted while applying online. The actual certificate will be shown upon check-in, though.
NIMCET Application Form 2023
- The first week of April 2023 will mark the beginning of NIMCET registration.
- Online submission of the NIMCET 2023 application form is required.
- Candidates must next complete all required fields, including personal and academic information as well as a communication address.
- The candidates must adhere to the NIMCET requirements when uploading their photo and signature.
- Candidates should be aware that there is no form correction option. Therefore, be sure to accurately enter all the information at once.
- Candidates must save a copy of their application form for their for future reference.
