NEET PG 2023: Latest Updates
The final result for the NEET PG counseling stray vacancy round in 2023 has been announced after the provisional result was released on October 16. The provisional result for seat allotment can now be accessed online. A total of 2,858 candidates have been assigned seats in the stray vacancy round, and this final result is available online based on the choices made by the candidates. The NEET PG counseling result depends on the preferences declared by the candidates for their choice of college and course, along with other factors like their NEET PG rank and reservation status. Candidates who have been allotted seats are required to undergo document verification and fulfill other admission-related formalities. The deadline for reporting for the NEET PG stray vacancy round counseling in 2023 was October 20.
Previously, the MCC had extended the deadline for choice filling in the NEET PG counseling stray vacancy round for 2023 until October 15. Candidates had to complete their registration for the NEET PG stray vacancy round counseling by October 12. Notably, the NEET PG 2023 cutoff was recently lowered to zero after students and various medical associations advocated for a revision of the cutoff score.
The NEET PG 2023 results were initially declared on March 14th, with the exam itself taking place on March 5th. According to the NEET PG 2023 timetable, the registration period was open from January 7th to January 27th. During this time, candidates were required to complete online registration in order to submit their applications for NEET PG 2023. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) published the official information brochure containing comprehensive details and dates for NEET PG 2023 on their official website.
For counseling participation, candidates must register on the official website at mcc.nic.in. The
NEET PG counseling process encompasses various steps, including online registration, fee payment, selection of college and course preferences, seat allocation results, and reporting. It's important to note that the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) is responsible for conducting counseling for the allocation of 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while respective state counseling authorities oversee the counseling for the remaining 50% of seats. In total, there are four rounds of counseling for AIQ seat allocation. MCC administers the NEET PG counseling process for admission to MD/MS/Diploma courses.

NEET PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria
To fill out NEET PG application form, you must meet the following NBE-defined NEET PG eligibility criteria.
- Nationality: Indian citizens are eligible to apply for NEET PG 2023. Foreign Medical Graduates (Indian citizens or OCIs) who passed the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) are also eligible to apply.
- Foreign Nationals: A temporary registration from the National Medical Commission (NMC) is required upon payment of a nominal fee.
- Academic Qualification: A MBBS degree or MBBS pass certificate recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC)/ MCI is required.
- Work Experience: Candidates must have completed an internship prior to July 31, 2023 along with their MBBS degree.
- MBBS Registration Certificate: A permanent or provisional registration certificate for MBBS qualification issued by the MCI (now NMC) or the State Medical Council is required.
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for taking the NEET PG 2023 exam.
NEET PG 2023 Application Form
The following information is provided in relation to the NEET PG 2023 application form:
- Candidates who want to apply for NEET PG 2023 must fill out and submit an online application form.
- The NEET PG 2023 Registration will start from December 2022.
- Candidates must complete the application form with all of their personal and educational information.
- Candidates must upload scanned images of their photo, photo ID, signature, SMC/ MCI, and other certificates in the format specified.
- The NEET PG application form will be available until January 2023.
- Candidates should also print out the application form for future reference.

- Navigate to nbe.edu.in and select the NEET PG 2023 tab.
- Click the 'new registration' tab and fill out the required information.
- The user ID and password will then be sent via SMS and email.

NEET PG 2023 Correction Window
The correction window will allow applicants to change some information in their NEET PG 2023 application form. During the NEET PG correction window, the following information can be changed:

- Category of the Candidate
- Physical Disability Status
- EWS status

NEET PG 2023 Admit Card
The NEET PG 2023 Admit Card includes information about the test location, date, time, slot, candidate information, and instructions for the test. Candidates must attach a recent passport-size photograph to their printed admit card. On the day of the exam, you must bring a printout of your NEET PG Admit Card as well as a valid ID proof to the exam center.

NEET PG 2023 Exam Pattern

Documents Required at NEET PG Exam

A valid photo ID (PAN/Aadhar/Driving License/Passport/Voter Id) is required.

- Original screening test pass certificate on NBE letterhead issued to Indian/OCI citizens who obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside of India.
- Candidates who have E-Aadhaar cards must ensure that their photograph is clear and matches their face at the time of the exam.

NEET PG Counselling is held for approximately 26,188 MD seats, 13,649 MS seats, 1,979 PG Diploma seats, and 1326 DNB CET seats.
