LLB Admission Process

Step I: Candidates need to go to the official website of the college they want to pursue and see the entrance exams accepted by that particular institute.

Step II: Based on that, candidates need to apply at the official website of the conducting authority of the exams.

Step III: Candidates need to study well and score well and qualify for the entrance exam.

Step IV: Next, a merit list will be issued by the college authority on a particular showing the name of the candidates who will be eligible to get permission for admission for the LLB course in the institute.

Top Law Entrance Exams 2023 - Details

There are many top law entrance exams in India conducted for admission to National law universities (NLU) or many other government or affiliated colleges. Some of the popular law entrance exams are CLAT which is conducted for admission to 22 NLUs, meanwhile for admission in NLU, Delhi a separate law entrance exam known as AILET is conducted. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)

CLAT is the most common law entrance exam in India that is conducted for admission to 22 NLUs. Every year more than 60,000 students appear for CLAT to secure admission in UG or PG programmes. Candidates appearing for CLAT 2023 can secure admission in any of the participating institutes for the exam or for some government jobs too.

CLAT Eligibility

Aspirants seeking to take CLAT exam must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized Board.

One must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. There will be a relaxation of 5% on the minimum marks for the candidates belonging to reserved categories. 

There is no age limit for taking the exam.

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)

Candidates need to appear for AILET 2023 to get admission in National law school, Delhi. AILET offers 110 BA LLB seats and 70 seats for LLM. This law university is considered one of the best law schools in India.

LSAT India is a national level law entrance exam, conducted by Law School Admission Council (LSAC). Maharashtra State Common Law Entrance Test Law (MH CET Law)

MH CET law is a state level entrance exam conducted for admission in law colleges across Maharashtra. More than 140 law colleges as well as private universities accept the MH CET law scores. These colleges offer a combined intake of around 11,000 seats in 5-year LLB programmes and over 16000 seats in 3-year LLB.

  • Candidates wishing to take the DU LLB entrance exam must have to complete their graduation/ post-graduation with at least 50% from a recognized University. 
  • There will be relaxation on the minimum aggregate score. For OBC candidates (45%) while for SC/ST categories aspirants minimum of 40% marks are required. 
  • There is no prescribed age limit to take the DU LLB entrance examination. 

CUSAT CAT

CUSAT CAT is an online mode entrance exam conducted for offering admissions UG, PG and Ph.D programmes. It is conducted only once in a year by Cochin University of Science and Technology. There are a total of 250 objective type questions and the duration of the exam is 3 hours.

AP LAWCET

Andhra Pradesh Common Law Entrance Test or AP LAWCET is a state level entrance test conducted by Krishnadevaraya University on behalf of APSCHE, Hyderabad. It is conducted only once in a year for law courses. The minimum age limit for the exam is 21 years.
