What is LEET Exam 2023?

The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) organizes the Haryana LEET 2023 or Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test. Admission will be granted based on the results of qualifying degrees. Haryana LEET 2023 provides B.E./B.Tech / Lateral Entry courses for students with engineering diplomas. On the basis of the inter-se-merit, only the qualifying exams will be accepted. This exam serves as a pathway for candidates to gain admission to the second year (3rd semester) of B.E./B.Tech programs in Haryana engineering colleges.

LEET Exam 2023  Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should review the eligibility requirements before applying for the exam. Only eligible candidates' applications will be accepted by the exam authority. The following are the HSTES LEET eligibility requirements:

  • Candidates must have a Diploma in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category) or equivalent.
  • BSc degree with at least 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category) and Class 12 with mathematics as a subject

Note:

  • The cutoff percentage for Kashmiri migrants has been relaxed by 10%.
  • Candidates with a BSc degree must have completed Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics in their first year of engineering, as well as the second year subjects.
  • Kashmiri migrants must present an original certificate signed by the appropriate authority or Relief Commissioner.

How to Fill LEET E2023 Application Form?

  • Go to the LEET 2023 application page on the official website.
  • Select the program and enter your personal information, including your name, date of birth, academic details, address details, father/mother's name, and contact information. 
  • Choose your preferred testing locations. You will be given two test center slots to fill; if the first one is not available, authorities will proceed to your second choice.  
  • Upload a passport-sized photo of yourself as well as your signature. 
  • The following step is to pay the application fee.
  • The complete LEET 2023 Application form will be displayed on the screen for download. 
  • The application fee for the general category is INR 500, while the fee for female candidates and the reserved category is INR 200. The application fee can be paid through credit/debit/Net Banking etc

Following is the detailed explanation of LEET 2023 examination pattern:

  • LEET 2023 Question paper will have 4 sections namely Basic Sciences, Electronic stream courses, Mechanical stream courses and Other Engineering courses.
  • The paper comprises 90 multiple choice questions with a total duration of 90 minutes to solve.
  • All the 4 sections can be broken down into questions from specific topics/subjects.
  • The question paper will be set in English language only

LEET Exam 2023 Admit Card

The LEET 2023 Admit Card will be available on the official website soon. To download the Haryana LEET 2023 Admit Card, candidates must enter their Application Number. Candidates whoCandidates who have successfully completed the Haryana LEET 2023 application form can access their admit card via the official website.  Details will include the candidate's name, application number, exam center, exam date and time, and so on. 

The following are the steps for downloading the LEET 2023 Admit Card:

  • On the home page of the LEET 2023 official website, select the "Haryana LEET 2023 Admit Card" option. 
  • For identification purposes, enter your registration number and registered date of birth.
  • The Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Print the Admit card.

LEET Exam 2023 Result

LEET result 2023 will be announced online in the form of a Merit List on both the HSTES official website and the LEET official website www.onlinetesthry.gov.in. There is no provision for re-evaluation of results, and HSTES will not entertain such requests.

Follow the steps below to download the LEET 2023 Score Card:

  • Go to the official website and click on the "Haryana LEET 2023 Results" link.
  • Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • The result will be shown on the screen.
  • Download and print multiple copies of the finished product.
  • If two candidates receive equal marks, the board will use the following tie-break criteria:
  • Candidates with higher Math scores will be ranked higher.
  • Following that, the Physics score will be considered.
  • If the tie persists, an aggregate score of all OLET Engineering subjects will be considered.
  • The final tie-breaking factor is age: older candidates will be given preference over younger candidates.

LEET Exam 2023 Counselling

There will be two online off-campus HSTES LEET counselling sessions in 2023 for admission to all Lateral Entry BE/ BTech Courses for all seats in Government University Departments/ Government Technical Institutions and 75% seats in Self Financing Institutes. There will be no online counselling after the second round, and admission will be done at the institute level. A reserved category's subcategories (including females) will be merged into the main reserved category.

What is the eligibility for Leet exam?
