The online registration window for KMAT 2023 was opened by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) on June 30. To apply for KMAT 2023, students can visit the official website - kmatindia.com and fill out the application form in online mode. Before proceeding to fill the KMAT application form, students aiming to take the KMAT exam in 2023 must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria set by the authorities. KMAT is a state-level entrance examination conducted for MBA admissions in institutes across Karnataka that accept KMAT 2023 scores.

How to register for KMAT Exam 2023?

To fill the KMAT Karnataka application form for 2023, candidates can adhere to the following steps, ensuring a seamless registration process. It is essential to complete the online application before the specified last date.

Step 1: Registration 

To initiate the KMAT Karnataka application form for 2023, candidates need to register themselves on the portal. Here are the steps for registration:

  • Visit the official website: www.kmatindia.com
  • On the right side of the website's homepage, click on the 'KMAT 2023 Application' button.
  • Select 'Register' to apply and read the instructions provided on the same page.
  • Fill in the required details such as Name, email ID, mobile number, and other personal information. Click the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the webpage.
  • An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the registered Mobile No.
  • Enter the received OTP and submit.
  • Candidates will receive their login credentials in the registered email.

Step 2: Online Application Filling 

In the second step, candidates must proceed with filling in the application form carefully, as accurate information is crucial. Follow these steps:

  • Log in to the website using the Application Number and Password received in the Email ID.
  • Provide the necessary basic details as required in the KMAT application form, ensuring all mandatory fields are filled appropriately.

Additional Instructions for Photo and Signature in KMAT Registration

  • The photograph format must be either JPEG, JPG, or PNG, as these formats are the only acceptable ones.
  • Ensure that the photograph is a recent one, taken within three months before the registration date.
  • The photograph should be a passport-size image with a direct gaze at the camera. It is preferable to have it in color and against a white or light background.
  • In case of a red-eye effect, please edit the photograph to remove it.
  • If you wear glasses, make sure they are not tinted glasses.
  • Check the photograph to ensure there are no reflections or glare.
  • Your eyes and face should be clearly visible in the photograph.
  • Avoid wearing caps, hats, or any tinted or dark glasses, as they are not acceptable.
  • Religious headwear is permitted, but it must not cover the face. Any photograph that obscures the face will lead to rejection of the application form.

Step 4: Payment Submission 

Once all the required details have been filled in, candidates must proceed to make the payment for the application fee and submit the application form. The application fee for KMAT Karnataka registration is 800 INR, including GST. Please note that there is no concession for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The fee payment can be made either online through Net-banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card, or offline through a demand draft.

KMAT Eligibility Criteria 2023

In the past, only candidates with Karnataka domicile were eligible to take the KMAT exam. However, starting from 2018, this domicile criterion was removed, allowing candidates from other states to appear for the exam. The new KMAT eligibility criteria encompass various requirements for admissions, including educational qualifications, minimum marks, and other relevant details. KMAT 2023 eligibility is aligned with the guidelines set by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It's important to note that the KMAT eligibility criteria remain consistent across all participating colleges, although specific colleges may impose additional requirements for final admissions.

Academic Eligibility for MBA: 

Candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline, such as Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering, or Technology, from a recognized college or university.

For final admissions, candidates' eligibility will be evaluated based on their performance in the KMAT exam, academic record, and relevant subjects.

Qualifying Marks: 

Candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50 percent or equivalent CGPA in the final year examination of their Bachelor's degree. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, the minimum aggregate required is 45 percent or equivalent CGPA.

KMAT 2023 Eligibility for MCA:

Candidates seeking admission to MCA courses through the KMAT 2023 exam must hold a bachelor's degree in any stream. They must have secured 50 percent aggregate in the final year examination of their bachelor's degree. Additionally, they should have studied Mathematics as a subject in their Class 12 level examinations.
