What is the Karnataka PGCET?
Karnataka Examination Authority administers the Karnataka PGCET, also known as the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test, on an annual basis. Karnataka PGCET serves as a gateway exam for admission to postgraduate courses such as MBA, MCA, M.E, M.Tech, and M.Arch in the state of Karnataka. The Karnataka PGCET is an offline exam with up to 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 150 minutes.

Karnataka PGCET 2022 Merit List
Following the announcement of the results on the official website, the exam authorities will publish the PGCET rank list 2022. For candidates who apply through Karnataka PGCET and GATE, the authorities will create a separate merit list.

Karnataka PGCET Result 2022: Tie Breaker
In some cases, the merit scores of two test takers are similar. To assign a rank, KEA has established the following tie-breaking procedure. The inter-se merit method for Karnataka PGCET 2022 is as follows:
- If two or more candidates achieve the same merit, the Karnataka PGCET inter se merit is determined using the total aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
- When the candidates' marks are equal, the inter-se-merit is determined based on their ages. Candidates who are older are preferred over those who are younger.
- There may be cases where the above-mentioned criteria cannot be met because each condition is identical; in such cases, inter-se merit will be determined through a random drawing of lots.

Karnataka PGCET 2022 Counselling
Karnataka PGCET 2022 is conducted offline by KEA in order to admit qualified candidates to the various M.Tech programs that the institutions have to offer. Candidates who meet the requirements must appear in person for the document verification process at the counseling location. While attending the counseling session, candidates must review the list of documents needed for PGCET verification. They must bring all required original documents as well as a set of photocopies for the verification of the documents.
- Candidates must register and select their preferred course and college during the Karnataka PGCET 2022 counseling process. Candidates will be offered admission based on their top choices, entrance test scores or rankings, and available seats.
