The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research will be conducting JIPMER PG entrance examination for admissions in various Post Graduate courses (Doctor of Medicine & Master of Surgery) offered by the institute. JIPMER has currently released a tentative schedule for the examination according to which, the Online Application form for Post Graduate courses will be available from September 17, 2018.

JIPMER PG Exam Pattern:
- The examination will be conducted in Online Mode which means it will be a Computer-based Test.
- The examination will be conducted only in the English language.
- The time duration of JIPMER PG is 180 minutes i.e. the candidate must complete the examination within 3 hours.
- JIPMER PG Question Paper will carry 250 objective-type and multiple-choice questions.
- The question paper will be divided into two sections i.e. Basic Clinical Science carrying 100 questions and Clinical Science carrying 150 questions.
- The candidate will be awarded an additional 4 marks for each correct answer and a single mark will be deducted for incorrect answer. No mark will be deducted for unanswered questions.

JIPMER PG Eligibility:
Eligibility on the basis of Nationality:
Indian Citizens:
- The candidate appearing for JIPMER 2019 must be a citizen of India.
OCI:
- The candidate must be registered U/S 7A of the Citizenship Act.
- The candidate must upload the OCI Card while Online Application Procedure.
Foreign Nationals:
- From upcoming sessions, National Residents of India (NRI) can also appear for the examination.
- The Under Graduate degree of the aspirant must be registered under the Medical Council of the respective country.
- The candidate must also seek permission from the Medical Council of India.
Eligibility on the basis of Academic Qualification:
- The candidate must possess an Under Graduate degree in the medical field with a minimum aggregate of 55 percent.
- A relaxation of 5 percent will be provided to the candidates of reserved category.
Eligibility on the basis of Work Experience:
- The candidate must have completed a 12-months rotating internship.
- The internship must complete by December 31, 2018.
