The JEE Main 2023 exam pattern has been made available by NTA at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023. The JEE Main 2023 exam pattern is provided in the official brochure, which is available on the IIT JEE Main 2023 official website. The JEE Main 2023 exam pattern includes the total number of questions, total marks, question type, examination mode, and other details. Changes Introduced in JEE Main BE/B.Tech Exam Pattern

  • The Computer-Based Test (CBT) method will be used for the JEE Main B.E/B. Tech paper. The paper will be divided into three sections: physics, chemistry, and mathematics. 
  • For each of the three parts, there will be ten Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, although students can choose to respond to any five of them.
  • There will be 20 MCQs in each part, and all questions must be answered.
  • Each MCQ will be of 4 marks if answered correctly. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • If a NAT question is correct, it will receive four marks. For each wrong answer, 0 marks will be deducted.
  • The exam duration will be 3 hours.
  • The maximum marks will be 300.
