JEE Advanced 2022 Tie Breaking Policy
There are several cases when two or more candidates secure same marks in the JEE Advanced Exam. There comes in play the Tie Breaking Policy defined by the examination conducting body. Tie Breaker Rules
- Candidate with greater positive scale scores will be given a higher rank.
- If there is still a tie, the candidate with higher marks in Mathematics section will be given preference.
- If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher marks in Physics section will be given a higher rank.
- If the tie still persists, the candidates will be awarded the same rank (hence two or more candidates can have similar ranks).
