JEE Advanced 2022 Tie Breaking Policy

There are several cases when two or more candidates secure same marks in the JEE Advanced Exam. Tie Breaker Rules

  • Candidate with greater positive scale scores will be given a higher rank.
  • If there is still a tie, the candidate with higher marks in Mathematics section will be given preference.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher marks in Physics section will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidates will be awarded the same rank (hence two or more candidates can have similar ranks).
