JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2023 : Quick Highlights
- The exam consists of two papers- Paper I and Paper II. Both the papers are compulsory and have three separate sections namely- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The questions will be objective type multiple choice or numerical answer type in both the papers. The questions are designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
- The candidates must carefully read and adhere to the detailed instructions given in the question paper. Negative marks will be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions.
- The question paper will be in either English or Hindi. Candidates must exercise the choice of question paper language while registering for JEE (Advanced) 2023. Change of question paper language will NOT be entertained after the registration.
- The total marks of the test are 180. There will be negative marking in some of the questions so the candidate must read the instruction before every question carefully.
- The examination will be conducted only in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and the candidates will be provided with a computer terminal at the examination centre. The candidate will require their roll number as login ID and enter their date of birth as the password in DDMMYYYY format.
