What is JCECE?
Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) is a state-level entrance exam administered by JCECEB. It serves as a gateway for admission to 1st year/Professional Courses, including B.V.Sc & A.H, B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry, B.Tech Dairy Technology, B.F.Sc, B.Tech Agriculture Engineering, and B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture. The JCECE Exam comprises 200 questions for the PCMB group and 150 questions for the PCM/PCB group. Each correct answer earns one mark, while an incorrect answer results in a deduction of ¼ mark from the total score.

JCECE 2023 Merit List & Seat Allotment
The JCECEB 2023 Merit list is formulated based on the scores attained by candidates in the JCECE 2023 Results. It involves candidates with higher ranks selecting their preferred seats. The JCECE Board releases two types of merit lists, namely the Combined Merit List and Category-Wise Merit List, on its official website. These lists play a crucial role in the allocation of seats during the JCECEB 2023 Counselling process. After the release of the merit lists, candidates must submit their admission applications, indicating their preferences for various degree programs during the counselling phase. Seat allotment is carried out in multiple rounds, taking into account the candidates' chosen colleges and courses.
JCECE Counselling 2023
The board will organize computerized distributed parallel counselling for qualified candidates. On the day of counselling, candidates must be present in person with original documents for the document verification procedure. JCECE Counselling 2023 will begin in August 2023. Candidates will be invited to counselling based on their performance in the entrance exam.
JCECE 2023 Counselling Round 1
- Candidates are chosen for JCECE 2023 Counselling based on their performance in JCECE 2023.
- Only after proper verification of all required original certificates/documents will the candidate be allowed to make Merit-Cum-Choice selections of the Institute and Course/Stream based on his/her Merit Order.
JCECE 2023 Counselling Round 2
- If there are still unallocated seats after the First Round of JCECE 2023 Counselling, the JCECEB will host the Second Round of Counselling.
- The rules and criteria are similar to those used in the First Round of JCECE 2023 Counseling.
