"Tuition and other fees have been drastically cut as a result of the protests at IIT Delhi, based on the proposal of the committee constituted to manage the problem. The full-time M.Tech. tuition cost has been cut from Rs. 25,000 to 17,500 every semester "According to IIT Delhi. Similarly, tuition for other postgraduate programs has been cut. IIT 2023 Fee Structure (Semester-Wise Fees)
The number of seats for the UG programme at multiple IITs is about 12,000. However, around 2.5 million candidates sit the JEE advanced exam each year in order to get admission to IITs. According to official HRD Ministry information, the previous year's fee structure will also be applicable for the 2023 entry session. There will be no rise in IIT course costs. - To begin, go to the institute's official website and click the 'Academic Cost Payment Portal' link to pay the fee with any bank Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.
- Verify the name displayed on the screen after entering the roll number and date of birth.
- Next, review the 'Fee structure' PDF fee table and input the appropriate amount for tuition and additional fees applicable to your category.
- A notification will appear on the screen verifying the successful payment.
- If you are on campus, you may also confirm the payment by examining the payment history for your IIT account.
IIT Fees - Scholarships and Financial Aid
The current price increase at the main Indian Institutes of Technology will surely put a hardship on the families of newly accepted IITians. Significant modifications in the price structure, as well as the number of reimbursements available under various programs or scholarships, may be made. - National Talent Search Scholarship (NTS): Those who get the NTS scholarship throughout their 10+2 studies continue to receive it during their undergraduate studies. Students may renew their certificates by submitting the NCERT forms to the Academic Section at the start of each academic year.
- All State National Scholarships: These state scholarships are given to students in their home states. Applications for these positions are routed through IIT and are awarded/renewed each year, and students must submit a status report at the start of the academic year.
- Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students: This is given to the top ten students based on their JEE rankings, with the proviso that their parental income does not exceed Rs 2 lakh per year. Along with the provision for fee refund, it also includes the following: A one-time personal payment compensation of Rs.45,000/-, monthly living costs of Rs 2,200/-, and annual books and stationery expenses of Rs 3,000/-.
- Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs - Central Sector Scholarship for ST Students: It is given to the top five students based on their JEE rankings, with the provision that their parental income does not exceed Rs 2 lakh per year. Along with the provision for fee reimbursement, it also includes Rs 2,200/- per month for living costs and Rs 3,000/- per year for books and stationery.
- Merit-based Scholarship, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India: It is given to students from minority communities like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Parsis, whose parents annual income does not exceed Rs 2.5 lakhs. The State Government will approve the scholarship amount, with 30% of the scholarships earmarked for female students. There are provisions in it for: The annual maintenance costs for hostellers are Rs.10,000/- and Rs.5,000/- for day scholars and reimbursement of course fees up to Rs. 20,000/- or the actual fees, whichever is greater.
- Scholarship from the MHRD for a Single Girl Child: The qualification for the same is set by the government of India norms, and a monthly stipend of Rs. 40,000/- is awarded.
- Aditya Birla Fellowship: For this job, the Aditya Birla Group selects the top 20 individuals in the JEE Rank. A stipend of Rs. 60,000/- per year is granted, which is renewed annually according to Aditya Birla Group rules.
- Scholarship Inspire (Department of Science and Technology, Government of India): Students admitted to the Dual Degree (B.S. & M.S.) and for 5 years Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech) Programs are eligible to apply for the scholarship sum of Rs.60,000/annum per student under this scholarship.
