IFS Officer Salary Structure in Detailed Explaination

The following gives details about indian foreign service salary structure in detail-

  1. Junior Time Scale- Officers at this level join as Under Secretaries and earn between 8000 and 14000 INR.
  2. Time Scale for Seniors- An officer at this level is hired as an Under Secretary, and his or her remuneration ranges between 10,650 and 16000 INR.
  3. Administrative Junior Scale- An official at this level is hired as Deputy Secretary, and his or her compensation ranges between 12,750 and 17000 INR.
  4. Selection Grade- An officer at this level works as a Counselor Director and earns between 15,100 and 18,500 INR.
  5. Senior Administrative Position- An officer at this level is hired as a Joint Secretary, and his or her compensation ranges between 18,400 and 22,500 INR.
  6. High Commissioner / Ambassador- An officer at this level joins as Foreign Secretary and receives a fixed salary of 26, 000 INR with no grade pay.
