GATE Result 2023 – How GATE Marks are Calculated?
After all the answers of GATE Exam are evaluated, the actual marks secured by any candidate will be considered for calculating the GATE 2023 Score. For GATE papers with multiple sessions, raw marks obtained by the candidates in multiple sessions will be converted into normalized marks for that particular subject. This is how the raw marks for single session papers or normalized marks for more than on session papers are used in order to calculate the GATE Score 2023, based on the qualifying marks.

How much rank is required in GATE 2023 for PSUs?
A GATE Score of less than 200 is required for PSU recruitment. However, a high rank does not guarantee selection because PSUs conduct interview rounds before final shortlisting of candidates. It is critical to perform well in the final selection rounds of Interview and GD to secure employment in top PSUs such as Power Grid, BHEL, NTPC, IOCL, HPCL, GAIL, and others.
