IIT Roorkee will soon announce the GATE 2025 answer key release date on the official website. Considering the previous years' trend, the GATE answer key 2025 is likely to be released on February 22, 2025, after the successful completion of GATE exam. The final release date of the GATE answer key will be updated on the official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in as well as on this page.

GATE Answer Key Release Date 2025

IIT Roorkee will release the GATE answer key PDF online on the official gate website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Along with the GATE answer key, the authority will also release the response sheet of GATE exam that candidates can use to verify the answers marked by them in the GATE 2025 exam.

The final GATE score will be declared along with the exam result in the GATE scorecard 2025. The result is expected to be out before March 2, 2025.

Once the official link to download the GATE answer key PDF is activated on the official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in, the candidates will be able to download it. The answer key will be released in PDF format. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to download the GATE answer key:

How to Calculate GATE Score Using the GATE Answer Key?

The examination conducting authority will release the GATE answer key with GATE response sheet. The GATE response sheet will consist of answers marked by candidates in the GATE exam while the answer key consists of the correct answers. They can use the official GATE answer key PDF to calculate their GATE score.

There will be questions for 1 mark and 2 marks only. Candidates will be given marks as per the below mentioned GATE marking scheme:

For every correct answer, +1 or +2 marks will be awarded depending on the marks that that particular question carries.

In case of incorrect answers:

⅓ marks will be deducted in case of 1 mark questions for every incorrect answer.
⅔ marks will be deducted in case of 2 mark questions for every incorrect answer.

Candidates must go through the GATE exam pattern to understand the marking scheme of GATE 2025 exam. Candidates can also use the formula mentioned below to calculate the the total marks in GATE exam.
