What is an Executive MBA?
An Executive MBA or an EMBA is a 1 year MBA program, designed for working professionals, who want to pursue an MBA while working in a full-time job. This degree has the same value as a full-time MBA program. Working professionals who want to step up in their careers or want to work at managerial levels usually opt for an Executive MBA. Almost all IIMs offer a full-time or part-time executive MBA program.
Eligibility for Executive MBA from IIMs
Candidates should fulfill certain criteria to be eligible for applying to an Executive MBA from IIM. These eligibility criteria are:
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized college/university with a 50% aggregate mark.
The candidates should have scored 50% in their class 10 and 12 board exams.
Candidates must be a working professional or they should have their own business.
Candidates who are working professionals must have work experience of 3 to 8 years.
They should have a qualifying score in entrance exams such as CAT, GMAT, XAT, GRE, etc.
