The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination for the year 2024 has been conducted on 21 April 2024. Every year CDS conducts two phases of the exam to recruit candidates for the open positions in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Indian Air Force Academy (AFA).

The CDS exam is supervised by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Both the exams CDS 1 and CDS 2 are meant to recruit candidates who want to join the Indian Defence Forces. While the CDS 1 Exam has been conducted, the CDS 2 Exam is scheduled for 1 September 2024.

CDS Result Out: The Union Public Service Commission announced the CDS 1 Result 2024 on their official website after the successful completion of the exam on 21 April 2024. It has been made available in a PDF format, and candidates can download the same from the portal. The roll numbers of the applicants who qualified for the written exam are included in the UPSC CDS result PDF.

UPSC CDS Result 2024 Out

UPSC announced the CDS Result on 9 May 2024. A total of 8373 candidates who cleared the CDS cut-off have been shortlisted for the SSB interview. The UPSC CDS is one of the most popular post-graduation employment choices for individuals hoping to enter the Army, Navy, or Air Force.

The CDS 1 written exam consisted of three papers for the Air Force Academy (AFA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), and Indian Naval Academy (INA). However, there were two papers for candidates opting for the Officers Training Academy (OTA).

Candidates who clear the SSB interview are admitted to the training institutes at various locations with their course starting from January-April 2025.

The steps for downloading the UPSC CDS Results is as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC and navigate through the page

Step 2: Click on ‘Written Results or Examination Written Results’

Step 3: A new page will appear. On the new page, click on ‘Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024’

Step 4: A PDF version of the CDS results will appear upon the click

Step 5: Use the mentioned link to open the PDF and check the result

Step 6: Search for your roll number by clicking on ‘CTRL+F’

The OTS Result is released separately as it only consists of two papers- English and General Knowledge. Candidates can use the same steps to view and download the UPSC CDS Results PDF.

UPSC CDS Cut-off List 2024

Every year, UPSC releases the expected CDS cut-off list, during the time of the result. Candidates can check the cut-off here:

Candidates who clear the CDS cut-off will be eligible for the SSB interview. This will be followed by a physical test, medical test, and document verification to finally recruit the candidates for 457 vacancies.

After the successful completion of the SSB interview, candidates can view their CDS marksheet 2024 within 15 days.
